Although Microsofts Zune player fizzled, the Surface looks to sizzle. And outside the Zune debacle, Microsoft does have some consumer-electronics wins, most noticeably with the best-selling game console of all time: the Xbox 360. Perhaps Microsoft will be the biggest surprise here and end up leading the pack when it comes to the Windows RT market.

So the PS2 moving over 100 million, DS selling over 150 million, Wii selling 94 million (has already won this gen in terms of sales) are smaller numbers than the 360's 68 million?

Not to mention the PS3 is under 2 million behind the 360 now in sales and has been outselling the xbox each month globally for a long time. The only place the 360 is trouncing the PS3 is the US.

The PS2 is the best selling console of all time, by a large margain. Back then you either had a PS2, or you had nothing. Everyone had one. The Xbox was a non factor. This is fact. What you are saying is make belive.

Of course, they brake down after waranty and people replace them and then it happens again and they replace them again..

Not even close to the best selling. Probably not even in the top 5 to be honest.

Correction: For consoles only it is #4.n However if you put handhelds in there it falls to #8 or #9 depending on whether you count Gameboy and Gameboy Color as two separate systems.

I know. I think the PS2 sold like 120 million +. I highly doubt the 360 will top that.

Maybe he meant to say "currently the best selling console"?
