When PS2 owners are ready to make the transfer to the PS3 (probably in 2008 with GT5/MGSIV/FFXIII) is when I expect PS3 to start dominating.

I don't know what will happen with the Wii, but it seems to be targeting a different audience so we can't really tell how big that market is yet, and whether or not their interest will last.

If all the consoles drop their prices...well, aren't we basically back to square one? Btw square one = wii pwnage sales.

Also, sales = more quality games. Don't say sales don't matter; that is false.

No, Sony still loses because of the amount money it loses on the ps3 as it is. A price cut would be devastating. They prolly wouldn't break even.

How come new Ps2 games like God of War2 don't sell 100 million copies? I reckon most of them there Ps2 was replacements for broke onesor people going from that their big Ps2 to the the slim model.

PS3/360 are both selling pretty poorly. It's evident PS2 owners are sticking where they are.

And when they're ready to make the transfer they're going to be greeted with GT5/MGSIV/FFXIII as well as new IPs like Lair, Uncharted, Haze, and Heavenly Sword for the PS3.

I'm sure some will make the transfer to 360 with Halo 3/Banjo 3 and new IPs like Mass Effect/Bioshock/Alan Wake/Gears of War but I doubt most will.

I am actually one of those inviduals who was part of the PS2 owners that jumped over to 360. It was the results of the what happen with the third system that made me not want one right away.
