"Graphics doesn't matter" [56k]

Ok sheeps! How long will graphics not matter? I mean yes i agree in some case, it doesnt, but if you want to be honest all that stuff of graphics not mattering, is just excuses. When is nintendo going to invest in some real hardware, instead of making consoles that look like they were made by V-smile or something.

Now I know you guys are probably being forced to believe graphics=bad gameplay...so I'm going to show you what real games look like, games that have both.

Believe it or not, thats actually on an handheld. Now let me show you what real next gen looks like.

Ok bottom line is, nintendo needs to make some real hardware or pretty soon in the future, while the cows, lemmens and hermits are playing real 3d or maybe 4d games, you guys will be stuck playing those, mushroom powerups, horse rearing, cat feeding, dog sheding, bunny rabbit avatars, pony ranching, mario checkers deluxe, barbie island princess, Britney spheres revenge, Zoey 101, unfabulous, napoleon dynamite...Kinds of games!!!!!!!!!

I still cant believe you people pay for those games!

I know graphics matter to an extent but at the same time they don't.
There is a line that separates them that I can't distinguish.. it should have a name but I can't figure it out.

Anyways look at the game that recieved GS's GOTY award. Look at the game that is the 2nd highest rated game of all time and tied for the highest scored of 2007?

It wasn't Crysis. It was Super Mario Galaxy. A game on a graphically inferior console.

So what do you have to say about that? If graphics matter as much as yousay they do then only PC should be winning GOTY's and high scores.

Graphics do have a role for games, it's just that gameplay is alot more important for alot of people. I can live with a game without awesome graphics, ifa game that I like comes with great graphics then it's a nice bonus.

Have you played Zelda PHG? If you haven't, try playing it and the reason(s) it receives high scores will become apparent to you...

uncharted and ninja gaiden is the only game thatr plays at 60 fps and has good gameplay

My PC has been doing 5D graphics since the begining of forever. Consoles should try catching up.

just a quick question...has anyone actually said that graphics dont matter here? i mean ive heard the "graphics shouldnt be focused on as much as they are" argument, which i agree with to be honest. but has anyone actually said "graphics are irrelevent and have 0 effect on the overall game" or something to that effect? or is this one of those mis-interpretation thingies?

because if anyone thinks mario galaxy would work as well in a highly pixelated 2d enviroenment then they diserve a smack over the head with a common sense stick.
