[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"][QUOTE="Darth_DuMas"] [QUOTE="Shadow_op"]Did you just diss Super Mario Bros. 3? The greatest platformer of all time? Ohhhhh man....Darth_DuMas
:) Personally I disagree, I think super Mario World is the most perfect 2D platformer ever, it wasn't as hard, but the level design (genious), graphics and music were fantastic. Even to this day I still enjoy it a lot, and the memorys of playing it when I was young.
But im not sure where he was going with the SM3 graphics either.
Yeah I don't understand it either.. Why would he use that as a example? Thats like going after the Simpsons saying it has bad graphics for a show.. Thats the artistic art style it chose and it does it well.. I don't need to have every show to be cutting edge to enjoy something.. Same goes with SMB3 they do not need to change the graphics at all they are fine the way they are and they still look great for what the game is MENT to be.
I have to admit that graphics have affected me as well, I couldn't enjoy the Wind Waker because of the cell shaded art style. I was used to the amazing atmosphere that the N64 Zelda games art style had, so the Wind Waker didn't feel right to me. Thats the only time its bothered me, I love the Paper Mario games.
Talking about older games, I hope Super Mario RPG, and Pilot Wings 64 come to the VC. Imagine Pilot Wings 64 with the GC anologue stick. That would be amazing as it would be smoother.
I don't think it was the graphics as so much it was the art direction the game went..
