My point is that everyone makes judgements about a game before it comes out. You think it looks good, and the other poster thinks it looks terrible. Why is one better than the other?

Everyone who's played it was blown away by it? How many people that might actually give an unbiased review have played it? Was there anyone who played Lair before it came out that said, "you know what, this game sucks. I don't know why people are excited for this"?

People have just as good of a reason to say a game might do poorly as the ones saying it will be the greatest game ever made. And in Killzone's case, the previous track record of the series and developer hasn't been stellar so I think people having reservations is justified.

THANK YOU. I bought and played killzone 1 and wasnt too impressed by it and i say that the second one will not be great because it looks bland.

My point is that previews, trailers, and first looks of games typically don't have anything negative to say. It's all about hyping up the games and focusing on the highlights the Dev's spew out. We really won't know anything about the game until it's released. At this point it's really based off video and screens, which isn't a reliable way to get excited about a game.

I read through both Gamespot's and IGN's previews of Lair, and both were focused on the postives of the game and didn't mention anything wrong with it. IGN: "If what we've seen lately is indicative of the final game, which we're pretty sure it will be, it's time well spent."

Well to each his own I guess. Tbh, I feel that same way about 360. I hardly like any of its AAA games including geow series or halo 3 but some of its AA titles spark my interest enough to play the system.

Not quite. There has been a storm of glorified trailers and "in-game" video. Look at some of the screen shots or gameplay footage that doesn't have a bunch of cinematic music and clips spliced into it. It's a basic shooter with a talented team of people who know how to dress it up. Some of the single player screens look so mediocre, and the multiplayer graphics will undoubtably be worse than it.

Well according to Cows, Halo 3 = Halo 2 with incremental graphical touches which is a slight upgrade from Halo 1..only difference here is that neither Halo sucked sweaty man meat.

Um, I don't believe I ever bad mouth any of the Halos, in fact I liked them all, but why even bring it up?

I didn't really understnad what you were trying to tell me in your 2nd paragraph, but yeah, if killzone 1 was SO bad, the developes would try to make it better in whatever way with their second attempt, they would not keep it the same with upgraded graphics.

As for the pudding... I know you didn't put the pudding(KZ2) in the back of the fridge, so why should I listen to someone who doesn't know if it is rotten or not either?

Why is it whenever someone says something bad about a Sony product they have to be a lemming? I'm always saying stuff about Sony AND cows (especially cows) and I probably have more Sony devices in my house than most people here. And I don't consider myself a lemming at all.
