It seems that the story the reviewer explained was somewhat opposite of IGN or any other reviewer and he explained that the A.I. was stupid at times, even on harder difficulties. He also complained about the repetive enviroments.

It's the only lowest review out there so we'll see what GS gives it. I have no doubt that it will be AAA unless the reviewer nitipicks.

Oh boy, just another "This game is overrated" thread. Original thought, that is what system wars needs. Gears of War started the trend, Halo 3 continued it and now Mass Effect takes the torch as yet another great game that does not deserve its score according to all 360 / MS haters. It is now officially boring.

Since it is a PC mag, it is likely to be the most unbiased of sources. PC standards for WRPGs are so high compared to 360 and thus they can tell how poor Mass Effect is without being blindly biased to 360.TheMysticHorse

Hopefully I'm missing something, because all I saw was a single paragraph. Did I miss a link to a larger review? If not, that was incredibly lame.

Really it's the same no matter what game or system. The story is always the same. Game X will arrive for console Y all console W supporters will look for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to belittle Game X. Conversely Game T will arrive for console U and all Y console owners will do the same. A never ending cycle of pointless, idiotic fanboy dribble which really amounts to nothing in the end.

I wanted this game to be my KOTOR 3. I was super excited about this game since i heard it was being made. and ever since the 1up saying the game is 12 hours for the main quest (thats short KOTOR 2 took me 42 hours including side quest but I didn't do close to all of them). I was hoping for a 9.5 here but looking at what IGN said about the numerous technical problems the "Identity crisis" of it being a shooter RPG hybrid looks like it wont score a 9.5 here. Most likely a 9.0 but it could very well be 8.5 if Aron Thomas reviews it because of the "identity crisis". I'll still get this game the day its out but I was hopping for this game to replace KOTOR.chansaet

Umm did you even watch or read the gametrailers review. The main story is about 20 hrs according to them and there are hours of side missions in the game. Man people love to make judgement on bad reviews. Seems like they want this game to fail.

Still thats a PC site. They have no right reviewing a console game that has nothing to do with PC gaming. If this game was coming on PC as well i bet they give it a higher score. The reviewer seems bitter as well like he's mad that this game isn't announced for the PC when we all know it has a better chance of making it to the PC eventually.

Yeah, this is pretty much the summary of this thread.

They're jealous that it is not on the PC. :P

to me, gameinformer has the best reviews. their reviews have alwaysbeen very unbiased.they're critical without being anal (GS) and keep in mind that its all just about having fun. by the by, they gave Mass Effect a 9.75 for those how didn't know.

The game has met and in some places surpassed my rather high expectations, what game was PC World playing ? And why were they playing it in the first place ? I thought they'd be too busy playing Crysis :roll:
