Nothing really surprising, We knew the Wii was the worst console of all time, we just didnt know the full extent, but they can win gamers back if the Wii U lives up to its potential and doesnt squander it trying to impress casuals again.
crimsonman1245
lol, how long have you been gaming?
This argument is so 2008. Why are still talking about this in 2012?
ToastRider11
Because System Wars likes to rehash threads.
I wonder if people are reading my post properly because I think I'm the one who is getting the flack in some of the posts.
*twiddles thumb*
The way you posted that implies that you DID mean it. I know your anti-Nintendo stance. If they have anti-third party measures, then why do they TRY to get them to develop on their systems?nintendoboy16
Because people complain about it. If they were more flexible it wouldn't be hard to get devs/publishers to jump on the console with the biggest userbase.
The Wii is a Toy, not a console...Bwahahahahaha...oh God, then please tell me what a hell is a console then?

People would complain even IF Nintendo got it right (by other standards), so what difference would it make?[QUOTE="GD1551"][QUOTE="nintendoboy16"]The way you posted that implies that you DID mean it. What with third party support? Even when it was there, they still complained. Nintendo is one of those companies that can't please anybody anymore. They are up there with SEGA/Sonic Team, Activision and Square Enix. What with third party support? Even when it was there, they still complained. Maybe not, but even when any Nintendo consoles get at least DECENT third party support (the N64 and GameCube get defended for this, yet at their respective gens, they still got bashed for it), they still complain. Unless if the Wii U changes things up between Nintendo and the gaming community, it will happen again.

Yeah... seems like even if Nintendo gets third party support, it has to be the same as Sony' and MS's or it doesnt count. Hopefully 3rd party devs take the Wii U more seriously.
Meh.. I consider all gaming consoles toys. Nothing to be ashamed of. There is no rule that says you cant play and have fun past a certain age lol.
I didnt check the link, but if they really said that then let them bask in their ignorance. Its a game console. Thats that. I'm sure they'd acknowledge the NES, SNES, N64 and GC as gaming consoles... so why not the Wii?
Ah well, you always have jerk offs in the industry making pointless statements every day. Nothing new.
You're using "all consoles are toys" as a justification for Nintendo's mediocrity.
"bu... bu... but they are made of plastic, so they are toys, jelly... (or some such crap)"
Toy = Childish
in context of article.

Nintendo wouldn't pay them unless they sold a certain ammount, and Nintendo wouldn't promote them. So they had to develop and publish for free without any help from the main group that needs the most. . But Nintendo is first party so they didn't care if third party failed or not.
Yeah youre right.

They clearly knew they needed to sell a certain amount before getting paid. You can't knowingly accept your accept and embrace your fate then complain when it doesn't turn out like you hoped.

Agreed. But so can you. So can Nintendo. So can third party developers. Therefore third party not being interested in Nintendo wasn't because of ignorance on the part of third party, but because they were aware of the situation and acted on it. They understood the situation and realized that the cost/revenue ratio was not in their favor nor would it be and chose not to aggressively pursue it. This still places the impetus on Nintendo. Which is indicative of current and future problems.LOL @ Lego players picking on Hasbro players.

Hasbro owns D&D. Hasbro hardcore company for mature and hardcore gamers am confirmed.

However this devsépubs compaints are flat out stupid.
The PS3 and 360 are clearly gaming consoles and the target audience are gamers unlike nintendo and their wii.and the Xbox 360 and PS3 are not?
LOL the only system that can't really be called a toy is the PC because it's mostly used as a tool if anything. But I've heard that Tools can be called "Toys" too.
Developers should just say they hate Nintendo and go on with life.
