"They Never Made a Bad Game"

There are many great developers out there. A few of which have a near perfect track record of quality, production values, and fun. then again, there are other developers whose products vary from masterworks to shovelware.

So here's the question:

If you saw a new game box, and all you saw on the box was the words: "A -------- Production," what would you fill the gap with to make the game a guarantee purchase?

Blizzard or Valve. I would have said Capcom a generation ago, not now though.

Blizzard comes to mind, followed by valve. Can't think of anyone else tbh.

For me you could fill that with either Bioware, Valve or Remedy. All 3 have never made a game I didn't enjoy very much. Heck between the three of them they made 4 of my top 10 favorite games.

Valve are gods.

Relic.

Black Isle.

Valve are good.

Valve, or Bungie.

a developer with a perfect track record doesn't mean they make games I like or that they even take risks though

I would sooner support a dev that had a few flops but actually tries to do something outside of their comfort zone than a dev that churns out the same type of game over and over like epic

A few years ago I would of said Squaresoft,

In the Ps1 era everything they touched turned to gold, I could buy an RPG knowing nothing about it and be pleased..

What happened?

Valve, Relic, Blizzard and Creative Assembly (PC).

Nintendo usually does a pretty good job. And for those who said Square Enix, don't forget about The Bouncer and that racing car game they made.

Blizzard, Valve, Bioware, Criterion, Rockstar, Kojima Productions, Bethesda.

While I can't say that all of these developers have a perfect track record, I will say that anything they announce will get my attention.

Valve or Infinity Ward.

Blizzard and Bungie have never let me down. Valve..meh, with the little content l4d had and other minor gripes I wouldn't call them flawless.

Bioware for sure though they aren't my favorite game dev, they have the best track record though imo.
