For me?
My friend got his 360 a month after release, and the first game I saw him play was Oblivion... when he first stepped out of the first dungeon and onto the landscape, I was completely blown away.
And just for kicks I'll add last generation too. After having my N64 for a few years and drooling over Halo for months, I finally sat down with Halo and my new Xbox on Christmas morning, and the graphics blew me away. I couldn't believe they were real :P
I still remember the first time I played unreal, one of my first PC games, such a masterpiece.Nothing this generation has made me go "WOW!" The last console game to impress me with graphics was Soul Calibur and the last PC game was the original Unreal. In my mind, 1998-2001 was really one of the last golden ages of gaming.
These days I care more about how fun a game is than how it looks, but what's fun for me is not necessarily fun for others.

Last Last Gen- Half Life
Last Gen- Halo CE- when I finsih that game, I literally stopped and thought "WoW"
This Gen(So Far)- Gears of War, totally new type of gameplay (kill.switch. didnt pull it off as good as Gears)
