RAGE is id's Homage to The Legend of Zelda (1up) Runs at 60 FPS on 360!!!

I thought this article was really interesting look at RAGE. id tech 5 looks incredible, and apparently runs at 60 FPS on the 360. Apparently, the dev house that single handedly built the FPS hasn't lost it's touch.

But all that aside, I think RAGE will be an incredible game, and if id's history is anything to go by, it will be incredibly impressive.

Well it is still suffering, just not in the frames per second department. They had to lower the textures a bit. Besides, the game is a shooter available on the PC, why on Earth would you get it for a console?

When they announced Rage they said it was going to be 60fps on 360, just as they have said Doom 4 will be 30fps.

I hope that's the 360 version, because those screens aren't that impressive. The textures look like crap up close.

Looks nice. The native size of the images are something like 2552x1536. But, it looks interesting.

I hope that's the 360 version, because those screens aren't that impressive. The textures look like crap up close.

It's an impressive feat for companies to make their games run at 60fps (why don't they? Lots did it on the Dreamcast)

And it's even more impressive that a game as good looking as Rage will run at 60fps on consoles.

I can't wait to see this baby in action on the PC.

hmm, interesting. Ill check that article out. Still, it sounds like everyone getting a good game.

It is nice to see they finally have broken their silence on this game. It surely will be one to look out for next year.

Kind of. I don't understand how people can play a shooter on a console when it is available on the PC (not a graphics thing). The mouse and keyboard are just so much better. When I play Uncharted 2, I just get so annoyed by the crappy speed and accuracy that an analog stick provides in comparison to a mouse. Also the free online, likely $10 less price, better online, mods, better graphics, and other perks that are standard for a PC game are just too good to pass up on.

It's sad to see new id Software game with "meh" visuals They used to leap frog everthing :( That said...the gameplay actualy looks very interesting, unlike Doom3 and I will gladly trade the "tech boundaries pushing ID" for ID that actualy makes I want to play, not just look at

They said ps3 version is at the moment even more stable...gotta wonder whats more stable then 60fps :P Maybe they meant crashing or something...Its still odd to see that they shown 360 version for this and Crysis 2 and at the same time said the game on ps3 is just as good and even more stable...

Well, with all the perks/customization that PCs offer in terms of video games, I just think that is is a little stupid for a person that considers themself to be a gamer to not own a gaming PC. Not a PC that has all the latest stuff, but it isn't expensive/difficult to build one that can play every game available at or better looking than its console counter part (again, this is not a graphics thing. My main points are the use of m/kb, free online, mods, cheaper games, and Steam).
