Just finished watching it. Verdict: + Awesome Gunplay + Great Puzzles + Plenty of Humor - Aging Formula Score: 9bleehum
Reason why you can't spell ignorant without IGN. I mean they ignore mention of a brand new platforming style (gravity boots), among other things just annoys me. Reviewers actually need to mention features that set it apart. Not tell me it is the same old because you use cool weapons. And R&C TOD was a bad game.
He really emphasised that the game doesnt do much different from the R&C series. With that, i think its going to score 7.5 or 8.0 here. Which is solid.
I wonder what the IGN equivalent of SW is like. Compared to here, seems like every system gets a new AAA title by the week.

The problem is the rinse and repeat formula really isn't true here. He basically said that you use the same weapons. Than brings in that the clank section is brand new, space exploration is brand new. My biggest agitation is that the 3rd aspect the gravity boots makes the platforming alot faster from what I've played. I knew reviewers were going to destroy this game not because it doesn't do anything new (which is basically the first R&C game that attempts to change the formula) but because it is the 6th game in the franchise. If insomniac hyped this as a reinvention of the formula the game would have a 9.6 score. Reason why I can't stand them because R&C TOD got a 9.5 and was the worst game in the series and this got a 9 which is the best in series.
Cannot wait for GameTrailers to call it unoriginal, I want to see where the cows are at then. :p Great score, cannot wait to try it out, probably not going to until December or so though. :(

its understandable,back in 07.TOD was freakin amazing i expect a 8 here :(
To be honest i was more hyped for this than any other game this year and it will finally be coming next week.. im buying 2 copies for sure.. its an amazing game

How was the story overall..DId you really need to play the first one to get what was going on with the second one? Just 1 day Yeah, the 2nd is in direct connection with the 1sts story. Quest for Booty is only 4 hours or so, though.
I played Ratchet and Clank: TOD, it was my first time playing any game in that series, and I thought it felt recycled to a degree. So I think if I had played the rest of the games in the series I would have probably not liked it at all. Now if you're someone that likes the formula of the game, recycled gameplay probably won't bother you too much.
I think 7.5-8.0 is a good review for the last one. So for this one, I'm thinking 8.0. However, with the inconsistent reviews GS has been giving out lately, it'll probably get a 9.0.
Well so far both PS3M Magazine Uk and IGN gave it a lower score of 9.0 than TOD which they gave 9.4 and 9.3 respectively. Well maybe we will see a 7.0 here if that trending is right. Ouch that would suck but I'm still getting the game as I loved the last one.

I'm interested but hoping I can find some sort of black Friday deal for this one. Maybe a bogo deal with this and Borderlands or something. I have already bought 5 games in september and october.

I actually from all the game footage I've played (got to play the space exploration which was awesome) this is by far the biggest improvement in the R&C franchise.
