Is RARE and Bungie and Retro Studios the only companys that can make really good console FPS

• Golden Eye  9.8
• Pefect Dark  9.9
• Pefect Dark Zero 9.0
• Halo 9.7
• Halo 2 9.4
• Metroid Prime 9.7
• Metroid Prime Echos 9.1

The both hold records for the best FPS on consoles the seem to do stuff right only if we could get them together to make a new IP.

Metroid Prime is a FPS adventure game so it counts as a FPS

They have SUPERB fps consoles games. Most other company just make "great" games like Insomniac.hoankiemdinh

Metroid Prime is not in any way a FPS.  The only game in that series that plays even close to an FPS is Hunters. 

The answer to your question is "no."  Timesplitters 2 was the best multiplayer FPS of the last gen.

If you're referring to the abysmal framerate of their games on the 64, that's understandable, but if you're talking about controls and level design and features, then you're definitely wrong.

This is gamespot. RFOM got a 8.6 "great", get over it. It flopped with all the hype.

I can't believe nobody has pointed out that Retro studios made the Metroid games on the gamecube... not RAREZoolader

Rare used to be good, but now, not really. And who knows about Halo 3. Bungie will eventually make something other than Halo first person shooters, and that will determine their worth.KeyWii

I ahvent really ever liked Rare's shooters, only there platformers. and i like their platformers a lot. And the next game by them is Banjo 3 :)Conker-Fan
