Yeah, that great, grand, glorious feeling of the novelty value slowly going down. No duh it will be fun for awhile. It's just the games it has have absolutely no lasting power and are just dumb arcady gimmick games.

i was excited for kinect but i swear because rare (that crappy development team) said to buy it something inside me is telling me to boycott it.

They're a first party developer of Microsoft. Of course they're gonna say that to the press. :?

The core gamers aren't the only ones who should play with Kinect.

I like Kinect though. Could revitalize the Xbox brand. It's important that both the 360 and PS3 don't appeal to the same exact customers.

I want to try it. Not going to buy it, though. I don't own a 360.

Oh, I doubt the hate will ever end. People are still hating on the Wii and it's AAAA exclusive.

Seriously, though. I doubt even the most hardcore diehard basement dwelling PC gamer out there has never enjoyed games like Bejewelled, or Mah Johng. People need to stop hating on casual stuff as if it's impossible to be good.There's loads of people on this forum that like games like Guitar Hero, and CoD, and hate on Kinect.....

Most people already know what running on the spot and jumping in front of their TV feels like. Or tickling the air.

I've played Bejewelled. And Wii Sports. And SingStar. And DDR at arcades. I don't personally "hate" casual gaming.

But there's not a snowball's chance in hell I would buy something for $150 to play minigames, and presumably that's what most people on here who have no interest in this feel.

Unless and until some sort of software is produced that actually looks like compelling gameplay then I doubt the "hate" will cease, and I don't think there's anything wrong with disliking something that offers you nothing you're interested in.

I dislike Kinect as well and see it as an unproven add on cash in gimmick, so all the hate isnt just coming from "core" gamers its also coming from gamers that stuck with and belived in motion controlled gaming since 05
