Oh it isnt? I thought it was at least considered one of the worst Zelda Games this Gen...... OHHH sorry I was thinking of Spirit Tracks[QUOTE="Badosh"][QUOTE="IcyFlamez96"] Why dont you think R&C is good? Have you played it? Dont lie. Really its sad how underrated R&C is.... Its soo great. That was my childhood..... Bur really WAYYYY more people have played Zelda than R&C so there are MANY MANY people who have only played Zelda and think its better than R&C since they have never played it before. Its quite possible you are one of those people. If you had at least played it, you wouldnt think its bad. ANd im assuming you think its bad because you said a link to the past is better than all R&C games and a link to the past is considered one of the worst Zelda games....IcyFlamez96
You claim that you're cool with other opinions but your posts say otherwise.
You dont understand what im trying to say."If you had played, you wouldn't think it's bad."
You clearly leave no room for people who have played it and think it's bad.
[QUOTE="NeonNinja"][QUOTE="BloodDamage"] They dont have to have anything in common.IcyFlamez96
So then what exactly are you comparing? If you don't have anything to compare you're basically just writing down your opinion on two different series. Which makes this topic completely pointless.
I like Halo more than Zelda. I'm not going to compare them because they don't compare. Furthermore, no one would care. In this case, Ratchet and Zelda have nothing in common with another and all you've managed to do is say, "I like Ratchet more!" Big deal.
Umm..... Are you new here? Yeah I know your not, comon. Level 45 and your still not used to people just stating their opinions saying one game is better than another.Thank you for managing to say absolutely nothing.

Just because I look at the person from Avatar in your signature makes you seem more mean lol. Just calm down nowNo. As much as I like the R&C games, I've noticed the flaws of the game itself. Granted, I haven't played much of Zelda at all, but I can see why the series get its praise. First, these two games aside from being action platformers and free-roaming are nothing alike. So why can't they co-exist? They're both needed in the game industry as there are hardly any of these kinds of games today outside of the realism that's been pushed in the gaming industry. I do feel that the R&C games today are underrated, but I'm not going to cry about it. For whatever reason, people have moved on from that franchise to other ones. Then again, its formula has been getting tiring. There's been a good deal of a lack of polish in especially recent titles. The shooting is solid but nothing spectacular. It's kind of a sub-par shooter and a sub-par platformer with a decent gameplay formula that makes the games fun. The platforming is very simple and easy, and the puzzles are laughably easy. The exploration is kind of meh for a 3D platformer I always felt like they could add more exploration. Yeah, they added moons in ACiT, but on the planets there still isn't too much exploration. The shooter mechanics need to be updated to today's standards and the platforming needs to be more complex and challenging. The storytelling is also meh. It's alright for an action game but nothing special. NYrockinlegendWhats wrong with the shooting mechanics? I agree that the platforming should be more complex. It does have its complex parts but most of it is just jumping over gaps. Yeah I also agree with the exploration part. There are many things that could be improved with R&C. Trust me. I think about it ALL the time.... But I have no one to share my ideas with because the boards are NEVER active! I mean, it may be good with sells and stuff but comon. People need to start going to the boards more often,,,,

TOD was terrible and Quest for Booty (lol) somehow managed to be even worse.
A Crack in time was excellent, however.
This is quite the odd comparison anyways.
Meh... I just can't get into R&C games too much... not sure why. Maybe I'll give it another try soon...Doesn't beat Zelda imo through.
QFB was just a short downloadable game made by insomniac to show what happens after the cliffhanger TOD ended with. It wasnt a full budget title. And how the heck was ToD terrible? If your just going by gamespot's review then I gotta tell you, that review is pretty BSTOD was terrible and Quest for Booty (lol) somehow managed to be even worse.

It's terrible because it plays at a snails pace and the game was completely stagnant and again, slow. The weapons were terrible too. Not to mention the god awful space missions and such. And I never go by review's here or anywhere else.
A Crack in time is infinitely better.
Um cool opinion bro? :? bbkkristianIts much more fun for me. Ive played Wind Waker, OoT, Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess and I just find R&C much more enjoyable. The Only one I beat was OoT. I borrowed them all from friends btw

Zelda's replayable, R&C... I beat it once and I'm finished.

Crack in Time is better. ToD isnt bad.
What do you mean it plays at a snail's pace? It plays at the same pace as any other R&C game.
There is your one good complaint that ive always thought but never heard anyone say. Yes the weapons are terrible. Well of course not all of the, not even most of them. Like 25-35% of the weapons are pretty much unusable late in the game and during challenge mode because they are SOOOO weak. The damage between the weapons just isnt balanced. It definitley doesnt kill the game or make it terrible.
The Space Sections are bad but there are only like 3, alot of good games have annoying parts such as that to go through. It isnt hard. One of the first 3 games had space missions like that and they are still amazing games. Its a really small part of the game but it definitley doesnt make it terrible. Its a good game but I would admit that one isnt as good as the first 3. I like it better than Deadlocked though, and I liked Deadlocked
Its an opinion bro lolThis thread is an affront to anyone with half a brain. I demand to know who is responsible!

At least when I beat Wind Waker, there was kinda no point for me to play it over agian. I have beaten the PS2 R&C countless times! I beat Up your Arsenal 3 times in one day before lol

I mean the gameplay, you can't move while shooting and you don't have the jet boots to make moving along levels faster like in ACIT. ALL of the weapons are terrible, while every single weapon in ACIT is incredibly unique and all of them are useful until the end.
I forgot to mention that ACIT just has a lot more charm and effort put into the little things, like whenever you get a new weapon you get a charming and humorous description by GrummelNet :P.And the overworld is a great addition as well, the ship gameplay is excellent. The game has beautiful visuals as well.
Then there's the Clank levels that are also incredibly well made and clever, and adds something to shake up the gameplay every now and then. All in all the game is just infinitely better made and has a wealth of content.
Despite how overrated the Zelda series is...No, Ratchet and Clank is not better than Zelda. Not even close.
I LOVE the Zelda series, but people praise it WAY too much. I really don't think any Zelda game is worthy of being called the greatest game of all time.
But that aside, the Ratchet and Clank series has always felt mediocre to me. It's like 3D movies. At first I'm like "this is kinda cool." But it gets old and frustrating after 10 minutes. The R+C games are too repetitive and predictable for my tastes.
lets see.... shallow arguement (OP), thin skin, cant accept that someone has an opinion different than yours? typical. enjoy your alt account...So you guys are laughing/thinking im crazy or high because I have an opinion? Expected by the System Wars community

It's all taste and these two franchises aren't remtely in the same genre too. You're comparing a third person action game to a puzzle adventure game... Personally I find Zelda to be far superior to Ratchet and Clank which has fun gameplay, but cheesy characters and poor forced humour around every corner. Zelda has natural charm that flows throughout its games and far better design.

I'm a Rachet and Clank fan too, but no this is wrong. I'm sorry but Zelda is the better series by a LONG shot, R&C is good game don't get me wrong, but it's not even close to Zelda. Besides they arn't even the same genre, so this is even more silly. Really why is it that allthe posters who have the G Gamespot Avatar always post the most idiotic stuff?
No frikkin way. I don't understand the love for R and C to be honest. I tried to get into both of the ones on PS3, but I find them both quite boring.
like many others in this thread, i too LOVE the ratchet and clank franchise, but in no way, shape or form is it a better franchise than zelda. R&C has lost points with me this gen because of how inferior TOD and ACIT were to last gen's offerings. they're hard to compare either way, but if i had to choose between the two franchises, i would go with zelda every time.
