Rayman's Steam/PC Holiday Sales Thread (Update Day #14)!

I'm being a bit underwhelmed by Meat Boy at the moment. I burned through the first world and a few of the hospital stages. Meat Boy just doesn't feel right when I land and press A to jump that little efffer should bounce with glee and instead just sits there like a dolt. I don't think the fans work as well as they could they're just, functional not fun. I also don't know about the decision to hide the map from the player so their left blind on the first few runs. I like the difficulty, but the way meat boy is controls and hiding the map doesn't let me have fun trying to dominate it. It's still good just not what critics are hyping it up to be.Konxumer

lol Dead Space. I played that game up until the last level with v-sync on (before I realized the bad controls were actually not supposed to be that way!)

I just figured the terrible aiming controls were due to it being a "survival horror" game :P

I got my own copy of Amnesia, the Indie 2D Bundle (VVVVVV, Geometry Wars, Super Laser Racer, Galcon Fusion, Bullet Candy), and I also bought Zero Gear. Oh I had so much fun with Zero Gear when they did a free weekend when it first released. Laughed non-stop the whole time I played it with a friend.

I bought it for $5 today, logged in, and I found one guy playing......from Denmark :( Oh it made me so sad. Guess I should have looked into that before I spent $5 on it.

I'm still considering Lego Batman, but I really really would rather have Lego Harry Potter, so I'm thinking I'll hold off on a sale for the other Lego games.

I bought Battlefield bad Company 2 for $50 not very long ago......FML :cry:

Regarding the Oddboxx and more specifically Stranger's Wrath, patches are on the way and ''in record time''.
They plan to update PC graphics to that of the PS3 version once that version is completed, for a ''SMALL fee'' through DLC. It's looking much better for at least Stranger than it was yesterday. Still unplayable at single digit frame rates...and I am dead serious about the frame rates.

We've heard there are some technical issues being encountered, specifically within Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath. We had these games extensively tested and they both came back clean, so this has come as quite the shock to us.

Wound up purchasing Super Meat Boy yesterday.
There are some nice deals today, but nothing for me. Already picked up Resident Evil 5, The Witcher Enhanced Edition and Bioshock 2 during the summer sale. Picked up Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light when it originally came out; that'll teach me to wait next time. =(

I should give the Witcher a second chance. Anyway nothing for me today but good deals for Burnout Paradise and Puzzle Quest. Both are really good games.

Honestly, next year I'm just going to wait. I bought everything I wanted so the steam sale gives me nothing :x

got super meat boy for 3.75 yesterday and polynomial for 2.50 today. Already bought the Witcher last year during steam holiday sales (still haven't played it sigh) but for $5 your losing money if you don't buy it.

Might get RDR undead nightmare for 600 points, and unfortunately I'll miss all of the PS3 sales because I'm away from my PS3 till at least the new year. Oh well its not like I don't have enough games to play on all 3 platforms as it is.
