Rayman's Steam/PC Holiday Sales Thread (Update Day #14)!

I'm incredibly tired, and probably going to go to bed soon, so I'll ask this now.

Is there anything extra you guys would want me to try and include in the original post beyond the Humble Indie Bundle, and Steam daily deals? It can't be anything too huge since I'm sure I'll run out of space, and I didn't get the 2nd post of the thread reserved :(

If there's anything reasonable posted I'll try and fit it in when I update the thread for day #4 :)

I've been waiting for this sale to get the Ultimate Edition of Dragon Age...and now I have no money in my checking account and I don't want to dip into my savings. Guess I'll have to wait for my next paycheck.

Meh, nothing Im super interesting in buying today. Maybe the Mass Effects just to have them :P. Plus I heard from a little birdy the PC versions are better

Think I might finally pickup DeathSpank.
Nice to see Dead Rising 2 currently at half price. It's been a little over a month since I paid full price for that game. ;_;

Now, I know everyone loves Xbox, but I was kinda wanting to keep this thread more PC centric :oops:You are certainly welcome to make a fantastic post within this thread that'll get everyone's attention though! :) But my original post is getting full, I think, so I need to keep that space for any Direct2Drive, Amazon, or Good Old Games deals that anyone cares to mention to me :)

As far as I know the Darksiders PC game isn't bad on the PC. It certainly doesn't come with any bells or whistles us elitist PC gamers typically require out of the lower working c|ass making our games, but I don't think it's a buggy port, and I'm quite sure the controls are good :)

Now is that like EA's DRM? Because they gave me a 10 install activation limit on Bad Company 2, but if you uninstall the game it'll give you back the activation, so I still have 10 installs left I believe

Nothing of much interest to me today. Temporarily put Dragon Rising in my cart because it was so cheap, but reflected back on my experience with the 360 version and realized I probably don't want play it. The AI and UI is ****, basically.

And Wings of Prey, but I've got enough plane games I think. Dogfighter, Altitude, Snoopy Flying Ace, Battlestations 1+2, After Burner Climax and IL-2 Sturmovik 1946.

The Steam daily deals so far have just lacked many "impulse" buys for me. Looking through the other few hundred games there's some good stuff, but nothing really jumps out at me. May give it another look.

Amazon has some good deals going on right now though :) I want Ghostbusters, but at the same time I'm hopeful it'll be on Steam for $5 since it has been a few times before. You should check them out since they seem to have some awesome deals that even Steam can't seem to match right now.

And I'm also very hopeful that Lego Harry Potter goes on sale! I've been wanting that since it came out

So, I tried the Wings of Prey demo, and it seems there's no controller support as far as I know, and the keyboard/mouse controls don't seem to be good at all

So now I'm thinking I might just get the Star Wars Starfighter game since it's $2.49, and Steam says it's controller enabled :oI just want a good game that lets me play as a flying thingy that shoots things :D

I did just buy Darksiders and Wings of Prey for 16 dollars though. lol

I went and bought every Prince of Persia (minus the old school games, of course) for $19.50, as I had never played them. Pretty happy with that, even though The Forgotten Sands has Ubi's obscene DRM, at $7.50 for the deluxe edition (that comes with SoT), it was too good to pass up.

Naturally Arma II is 10 dollars a day after Operation Flashpoint is 3.
