RC all 4 one --- 88 game informer, 81 metascore (so far). hype exceeded?

Did this game even have a hype thread? Anyway, it's only 4 reviews so i'll wait for more. I may have to pick it up though.

That Sesame Street game has an 80 metascore. Just saying, games do, and should, be rated in accordance to their audience. People here are going to hype a game based on how it appeals to themselves, usually.

I was never even sure why people were so against this game. Though we should wait for more reviews.meetroid8

I will pick it up soon, love the RnC games and beta was great playing online with friends, everyone i know already got it waiting for me to pick it up, sadly been very busy with exams

looking at the top 30 PS3 and xbox exclusive games by metascore and taking the total difference in GS scores, gamespot has rated PS3 games 89 points below the metascore. the 360 in total, 10 points below the metascore. so, in comparison to metacritic, gamespot is 9 times more favorable to the 360 than the PS3. but they are totally not biased right? even though they are among the most anti PS3 sites featured on metacritic.

So,now it´s not only EDGE but also GS that are biased against the PS3?

Actually Gamespot and Edge don't underrate PS3 Exclusives, the majority of people overrate them. actually, the 7 GS Gave the game I think was a bit too generous.AngryJuice

its so ironic that people who defend GS and edge call people (like me) who point out the metacritic comparisons and platform discrepencies "conspiracy theorists." and then they turn around assert that the whole of the professional reviewing community is somehow "uber pro PS3" and "anti 360" even in light of the fact that all your forza, gears, and halo games (with the exception of ODST) have AAA metascores and alot of PS3 games like demon souls (which won GOTY awards) is AA.

Have you played it? Because I played the beta, and it really wasn't anything to get excited about. The short time I had with the beta was more time than I could have wanted with this game.

I did and I agree but to give something like The Gunstringer an 8.5 and then give this a 7? I don't buy a game such as the Gunstringer is that much better than this or Infamous 2 that much worse than it.kuraimen

Non-hyped game. No flop. But another AE, bringing PS3 up to 1 AAAE, 5 AAE, and 4 AE for the year so far (versus 360's 1 AAAE, 2 AAE, and 0 AE). It's all up to Uncharted, Dance Central, and Sesame Street now. If U3 gets below 8, and DC and SS both get 8+, 360 will catch up for the year in the Metagame... :o

Like every other R&C game has had like 8 points higher than that on average, that's not that great. I knew gameplay would suffer with such a focus on gimmicky multiplayer.
