THe majority here do not know what they are talking about. RE4 PC did not have any major bug or glicths. The controls are bad but Like I said you use a gamepad not keyboard controls for this game.RE4 PC = Too many bugs and glitches, easily the inferior version.

SOO...let me get this straight RE4 pc is best because in its original incarnation which is broken both graphical compared to the Ps2, gamecube and Wii versions and though its broken it still runs like crap on PC's is better because you then have to find the mod then install it and watch as said mod increases the system requirements even higher?
okay....P.S: and i even forgot the broken control scheme for the PC version which wasn't fixed with the patch for it that was releaed.

Is that bad or something? Also explain how its broken.

Use a gamepad
Oh, so now people wanna pick up the PC version. Graphics whores.Next-Gen-TecFor the love of god tell me what is wrong with the PC version? Better Graphics = Good! Better button layouts for gamepads = Good! HD cutscenes = Good! Really its the same game. ITs not like their are any major bugs. I played the PC version and the only thing lacking was the graphics and gamepad layout.
Well for someone who spent hours experimenting with the mouse mod to get it right, and using the texture mods available at the time. I would have to say this new mod and the one that fixes the buttons showed on screen, could place the PC version in the same level as the Wii version. The PC version still would have other problems like the ugly avi cutscenes, and from the looks of it this mod needs a lot of experimenting like the mouse mod. So I would say the Wii version is still the king.
If you would read this thread then you would have seen that their is a link to have HD cutscenes for the PC version. Don't bother with the mouse mod because its a PoS. Just use a gamepad and your good to go now.Well for someone who spent hours experimenting with the mouse mod to get it right, and using the texture mods available at the time. agreed, if a game is great out of the box doesn't need mods.If you have to use mods to make a game good then it isn't good to begin with.

Lol, this is such a flimsy criticism. Mods enhance some experiences and fix poor ones. If a console game comes out and it sucks, then you are stuck with it. However, if the same crappy game comes out on the PC, mods can fix all of those problems and turn it into good or great game. On the other hand, if a PC game comes out and it is already great, mods only make that experience even better.
There is nothing wrong with mods...as long as you get a great experience with a game it doesn't matter what form it comes in. Saying "it should be good in the first place" is just a weak defense from console fanboys who have no other way to damage control the fact that PC gamers have such an awesome option available to them.

agree. Thats such a horrible excuse that it just dosen't make any sort of sense.[QUOTE="glez13"]If you would read this thread then you would have seen that their is a link to have HD cutscenes for the PC version. Yeah, I think I wrote it wrong, what I meant is that they are still videos and not in-game scenes. The mouse mod like I said does work but you need to play with the settings to get it right, and anyway the game clearly isn't made for that because I always aim to the head and the game sometimes doesn't register the headshot.

Yes it does suck that the cutscenes are not in-game. But like I said if you have a gamepad for this game then you are good to go. Heck I played through the entire game on PC just using the keyboard and thought it was ok.If i can't just put in the disk right out of the box and play it with no mods, patches, fixes, or re-workings...then no, it's not the best version.
goblaa
ya, why not just buy the wii version stright ahead?
GCN graphics
PS2 content
WII controles
all in the wii version
Again that makes no sense what so ever.If i can't just put in the disk right out of the box and play it with no mods, patches, fixes, or re-workings...then no, it's not the best version.

He said its the best version IF you use the mods. With those mods compared to the other versions, he's saying its the best. Out of the box, we know the PC Version unmodded is inferior. It doesn't even have mouse support!!If i can't just put in the disk right out of the box and play it with no mods, patches, fixes, or re-workings...then no, it's not the best version.

I'm sorry that doesn't make the game any better. I judge the game by the standards when its released. An RE4 PC was the worse of the bunch. I don't buy broken PC game to wait for a patch or wait for someone to mod them. I expect them to be fully playable the day I buy it. But I guess some patches for some games would be good, if Nintendo could only fix that broken POS game they call SSBB...
Wii version is better IMO due to controls.
Puckhog04
You can use the Wii mote with PC games. Pretty much anything a console can do a PC can probably do better. Usually...
Yeah but today the PC version is the best version. It doesn't matter if it was broken at launch in this argument.I'm sorry that doesn't make the game any better.
