lookin good, and its just a demo
how much AA does this game have, cuz it barly has jagges
shadows are nice and smooth, unlike DMC4 fuzzy jagged mess
the blood is easily the best i've seen
use of bloom is good

Graphics are pretty good, but the gameplay is too sluggish and the controls are as wellkrp008
I found it similar with RE4... great game but the way they went with it just didn't feel natural, moving like a tank... I have to say i was partial to the original control scheme
The game's fun to play and has top notch graphics. Screw the 10,000 leaves and Alan Wake jacket, Chris has the most detailed shirt in existence. Look at those textures!BioShockOwnz
It's official.
Chris Redfield's shirt>>>>>Crysis.
ah if only the animations were as good as in the cutscenes:(ProductNumber49the quality of the animation is great, it just doesn't have the variety of animations (unless you get grabed, or attacking a stunned enemy, or during boss fights)
Do they react if you shoot them in the nards?InsaneBasurasorry
Those pictures you posted look horribleAll_that_is_ManI think so
it feels like a mix of mgs4 and far cry 2 for some reason. I still don't think its as good as KZ2 but it looks good.
Note: last two images arn't in-game

Really? That's the only thing good about it?...[QUOTE="Gh0st_Of_0nyx"]The graphics are the only thing good going about this game. :(D0013ER
Come on guys, this is getting ridiculous.
Pretty much yeah. Abandoning your core audience in favor of sales pretty much killed this game for me.Looks awesome, and it is awesome. I swear, after all the success and raving compliments that gamers showered down upon RE4, the level of hate for RE5 thus far is a glaring testament to just how spoiled and picky gamers have become. Nothing is ever good enough. If they had changed it too much, there would be a flood of complaints, if they reverted back to the fixed camera angles and extreme stiffness of RE 1-3, then I guarantee there would be mass whining as well.
RE4 was successful, so they kept that same suspenseful, clausterphobic control scheme, yet they added a more action element to it for those of you who wanted the series to move forward with the times. The special effects and enhanced visuals are only going to make the more action oriented elements shine that much more. Hardly something to complain about in my view. The best of both worlds, if you ask me.
You still have to stop to shoot, meaning you have to actually think, plan your shots, and conserve your ammo accordingly or you die. There is still clausterphobic corridors and rooms with insane, infected enemies hording around you with hatchets, giant axes, chainsaws, ect. We know the game is going to have some truly wicked looking creatures as well. There is your survival horror element still fully intact. For those of you that love co-op, which is a huge feature in games these days, there is that as well. So, I ask you complainers, what did you really expect Capcom to do?

Chris has the most hardcore looking uppercut in video games.

Greatly agreed, capcom knows how to make their best shineCapcom must have put a huge amount of effort into Chris' shirt. I suppose it only makes sense as you see it about... I dunno... 100% of the time :P
Game looks fantastic though... this and KZ2 are at the top of my hype list.

I swear, in every video game the girl has to be euro or asian looking or have strong euro or asian features. without fail.

imagine how it will look on pcpaullywog
exactly the same I'd imagine since it will be quick little port
[QUOTE="Wasdie"]Am I the only one just not blown away by the visuals?bladeeagle
Nope. I was expecting a lot better.
That's only the demo from e3 2008 pretty old build..The game right now looks like garbage except for the characters.. I hope this game comes out for PC so I can bump up all the graphics settings... DMC4 on PC screens here because the TC said DMC4 on consoles was horrible looking.
I honestly do not 'get' RE anymore. I tried to like the demo but it has to be the most outdated game I have played in a long time. Except the graphics I cannot see anything next gen about this game at all. It plays like something from the mid nineties. The controls are awful, it feels like I am steering a car around a narrow track, not moving a human!! No fluidity what so ever.
The gameplay in the demo revolved around sprinting up and down narrow corridors repeatedly past the DUMBEST plodding AI I have seen in a long time (you can run right past everyone without most of them even swinging for you!) turning at the end and shooting. Rinse and repeast. This is not progress! The AI has to be slow and stupid though, armed with these controls the quick zombies from something like L4D would down you in seconds.
The animation is a total mixed bag, bullets seem to cause nothing more tha a slight flinch from the zombies.
I'm going to give it another go hoping I finally see the underlying point in restrciting the player to such horrible anachronistic gameplay mechanics.
