Is that the PC version maxed out? If so, then wow...
Camer999
wow, what?
It's not that much better than the 360 version, though it still looks better overall. I should had known Capcom would do this, ever played some of their games on PC, look at SFIV.New PC trailer was also released http://news.bigdownload.com/2009/08/19/resident-evil-5-pc-trailer-unleashes-a-special-surprise/

PC version has better lighting and depth of field. 360 version is now fail.
PC version also hasa better gun, so thatmakes the 360 version a failtoo...
PC version looks slightly better. Now when someone has the video walkthrough for the PC version, I can look that up on Youtube & record that one instead of the 360 version.
PC is simply using a higher resolution, and consequently, sharper textures (more AA, more AF, etc.). Outside of that, the 360 holds up pretty well against its maxed out PC counterpart. Very impressive console optimization Capcom.Brainhunter
Erm, just a min, as far as i'm aware the PC version is basically a port of the 360 version, not the other way around. What i mean is there is not going to be much difference other than res/aa/af as with most multiplats.

Yeah 360 owners will use any sort of backwards logic so that they can convince themselves that their console is some sort of powerful machine.

No Capcom made the game for PC and ported it to consoles. Its how their engine works and its a great way to optimize the game.[QUOTE="Frozzik"]

No the engine makes the game on PC first, then it makes the X360 and PS3 version, like cryengine 3. Why are you so defensive, it is close, give credit when credit is due.

#1 prove that statement with a link. #2 This isn't cryengine 3, besides cryengine 3 was designed (and gimped) so that it could be ported to the weak consoles #3 its annoying to see 360 fanboys trying to compare PC to 360 and come to the conclusion that they are somehow even close to being in the same ballbark.[QUOTE="Mr_Ditters"]

no i agree with him. The whole point of this thread seems to be to say 360 can match a PC. Now, im no expert here but im sure capcom, like 99% of other devs make all versions almost identical. This saves time and hassle. The difference from console to PC is almost always resolutions, framerates AA and AF. Thats it, on thje odd occasion slightly higher res textures.
Have you any idea the amount of horsepower needed to run games at resolutions at or higher than 1080p with 4-8xAA and 16xAF asnd get 60fps? The gap in tech is huge. These games may look the same in tiny screenshots but if you saw them running side by side the difference would be much much more obvious.

I will find you a link, and Cryengine 3 isn't gimped it will run better and look better than 2 on your PC. Overall they are not in the same ballpark, but in this game they are face facts. Elitism at its finest.
Well, here is an article. Also, why do you think the PC version of lost planet 2 was shown first? Because it was made first.

You are right. It is elitism for some to be so religiously devoted to their gaming console that they lose their common sense. Im glad you see they arent in the same ballbark but others in this thread dont seem to grasp that.[QUOTE="Camer999"]

You seem to be very devoted to proving your PC is best. Yes the graphics are better, but it still isn't like PS2 graphics to Xbox 360 graphics so it isn't anything to right home about.
[QUOTE="PAL360"]
Ilmost the same. Its impressive how 360 can still make PC quality graphics with its 4 years old tecnology!! :)
Frozzik
Personally i think its the PC running 360 quality graphics. PC quality are games like Empire, CoH, etc.
Yeah, we all know consoles hold back PCs. Still the game looks almost identical from the pics.
They are pretty much using the same assets as the console versions, it's visual benefit on PC comes from the higher image clarity.
What these comparisons don't show is the PC version can easily push 16x AF, 8x AA and 1920x1200 on a single 8800GT.
