RE5 producer: Wii, PS2 couldn't even handle title screen of Resident Evil 5

honestly if anyone should feel insulted are owners of the Wii.... considering Wii is a current-gen console and a dev comes out stating it cannot even handle the title screen that is really harsh... so either the dev is stupid/wants to catch some attention or else the Wii has outdated hardware...

PS2 has been out so many years and is a last-gen console, so its no surprise that RE5 cannot be done on PS2.. we havent seen Resistance, Uncharted, MGSIV, Heavenly Sword or any other new IP out on PS3 being done for PS2 because its not possible... Therefore its no surprise that RE5 is also another game not possible on a last-gen console like PS2..

Well, this is too be expected, the PS2 had a ton of RE's on it, so all's good in the end. Wii owners at this point aren't expecting ports of HalfLife 2, COD4. GTA4, or RE5, so they don't mind too much.

You'd be surprised. There have been threads complaining about RE5 not coming to the wii on the wii board.

1. I'm pretty sure the TC was being sarcastic in saying 'what an insult to PS2', because you can infer that he means that it isn't an insult to Wii, implying Wii is less powerful then PS2.

2. The majority of PS2 owners are NOT PS3 owners. PS3 has sold what 17 million consoles, PS2 is 130 million and still going strong. The majority of PS2 owners more then likely haven't jumped ship to next-gen yet.

There are even MORE people who want a new RE, like me. What i want is another RE like 4 because it has one of the the best controls i ever found in a game.That and hate dual stick aiming with a passion, its trash. Rather have RE5 on PC then play it on a dual analog controller.

Yeah that's very bizarre. Considering most conventional games on the Wiimote sucks hard. Wouldn't it be cheaper just for devs to make a funky motion control device for PS3.pimperjones

I don't know how else to put it, but a severe downgrade in graphics for waggle is something most gamers wouldn't trade off of. You have a PS3, so just buy it and enjoy, what the hell is wrong with you? :|
