If that's the case, then I might as well get the PS3 version. Thanks a bunch.Resident Evil 5 was made for PS3 and then ported to 360 if that changes your mind?

What? Where did you hear that? :|Resident Evil 5 was made for PS3 and then ported to 360 if that changes your mind?

PC(Same as DMC4) It's just not released first. Then ported to PS3/360.Resident Evil 5 was made for PS3 and then ported to 360 if that changes your mind?

Well a couple friends of mine work for Sony ericson and friends with a guy that works with Sony business and all that. He told them that Capcom had made RE5 originally for PS3. I dont have official links or stuff so its your choice wether to believe me or not. To me its a fact.
I'd say if you're used to playing RE series on the Playstation consoles, then go for the Ps3 version, that's what I did.

Yeah, I bet.
TheXbox 360 and PS3 versions are pretty much identical. They both play and look amazing. For those who own a PS3, and Xbox 360(with a Live subscription) the decision is going to be much harder. If you're a gamer like me who love voice chatting then I'd definitely getit for theXbox 360. Yes, you can voice chat with your friends with the Playstation 3. My question is how frequent do you or others usetheir bluetooth headset on the PS3versus the Xbox 360. Some people would say the arguement is a bit contrive, but I don't think so. I think it's just more fun and easier to progress through Resident Evil 5 with a headset. Plus when it comes to random co-op session you're more likely to make new friends in my opinion. :P
But the choice is yours, either way...RE5 plays and looks well on both systems.

Headset on PS3 is used as often Xbox360 and friends are made the same way on both consoles, there are pretty much no differences when it comes to RE5.

No. not really. The 360 comes with a headset and the PS3 doesn't.pretty sure the only differences are. the PS3 version has slight frame rate hiccups when theres alot going on. and the 360 version has a bit of screen tear which occours during cinematics. if you arent paying for Xbox live gold already then just get it for PS3 so you can play the co-op for free.
I've got Xbox Live + a mic, and a Bluetooth headset (From my dad's old cellphone) that I could use for my PS3. Which one has a larger community?Mikka_kippai am not sure how big either community is exactly but i would guess it would be about 500 thousand on both systems. personally i am getting RE5 in a few days on my PS3.

 Classic.
Nevermind, this guy said it much better:
PS3 version suffers from occasional framerate dips (but not too noticeable to render the game unplayable, just when there are too many explosions on screen, or what not). It has a permanent VSYNC setting enabled that reduces screen-tearing. Online is the same as 360, though free. 360 version has more stable frames, but suffers from the occasional screen-tearing. Not to the point of being unplayable either. Online is the same as PS3, though you you need to have an XBOXLive Gold Account. 360 has likely more players with mics than PS3. Most people agree RE5 is more suited for the DualShock 3 / Sixaxis over the 360 gamepad, though this is highly subjective and may be simply a matter of the history of the RE franchise being on Sony platforms. They are pretty much equal. Though I would opt for the 360 version if you don't mind paying monthly, simply for the increased number of mic-enabled players.Brainhunter
they are both idendentical n terms og gameplay and grpahics but ps3 u can play for free so a ps3 version is better
I want to get RE5. I have both a PS3 and a 360. I haven't played a PS3 game for a while, so I'm thinking about getting it for that, but I dunno. Does the 360 one have any quirks? Is either one better than the other? Does one have glitches that the others don't? Thanks for the help!Mikka_kippa
I own both copies, the only difference is the PS3 version has an install, so it loads a bit faster than the 360 version.
The other thing is that if you don't have aren't a GOLD member in the future, you can't take advantage of the Co Op, whereas if you pick up this game in a year on PS3, you can still play co op.
I needed some more Trophies, so I played the pS3 version, but either way, have fun!

I had no trouble finding anyone that didn't have a mic on PS3...but why would you play this game with strangers? Also, I did have a few people not talk on XBOX LIVE, because they are in parties.
The party system on 360 takes away the Mic advantage imo.

However, I have found that people do have mics, however, they are chatting with friends in other parties rather than chat with a stranger (me). Of course, this is a game I primarily play with friends anyways, on both systems.
A game like RE5 is personal, so I don't like playing it with strangers, UNLIKE a fragfest game. RE5 is a lot like Army of Two for me, great with a pal.

360 version has better graphics, faster framerate, better online play and no installation. Same graphics, -slightly- better framerate, slight screen tear, exactly the same on-line experience, and slower load times without the optional install. They are essentially the same, except one has screen tear, and the other has slowdown.[QUOTE="Mikka_kippa"]I want to get RE5. I have both a PS3 and a 360. If you have both systems of course the PS3 version is the best option. Its a small difference but still looks better.

lol
An example of how a fact can turn into a lie with changing just a word :P

Yeah, I have both copies and I think they pretty darn identical, and I really tried finding differences for my reviews...:)
I couldn't resist posting directly under your post though, it seemed too funny.:P
