[QUOTE="UnnDunn"]

[QUOTE="Mikka_kippa"]I want to get RE5. I have both a PS3 and a 360. I haven't played a PS3 game for a while, so I'm thinking about getting it for that, but I dunno. Does the 360 one have any quirks? Is either one better than the other? Does one have glitches that the others don't? Thanks for the help!zarshack

360 version has better graphics, faster framerate, better online play and no installation.

Why didnt anyone pick on this some more. he said 360 version has better graphics. lol.

PS3 has a full-screen blur effect that the 360 version does not have.

There also have been issues with frame rate on the PS3 version.

There is no evidence that the lead developing console was PS3.

But if you want free internet,go for the PS3 version.

You'll notice I asked it as a question? That was all I wanted to know. Some person on XBL mentioned it. :? Luckily, I care little enough for my "reputation" that asking questions, even foolish seeming ones, doesn't deter me from my pursuit of knowledge.

I meet Fanboys on PSN and Fanboys on XBL, I don't care what nonsense they say. It would be more of a testimonial if a person on PSN said it to you while playing RE5 with you, but that just tells me that a fanboy on XBL was telling you nonsense. He probably would have agreed with you if you told him Halo 3's Graphics blow away Killzone 2.

That's how it goes, as far as the question, I didn't mind that, it was the short remark about him stuttering.

I own two copies of that game, since I have friends on both systems...oh well. :)

I would agree *IF* the person was a random. The person who said it had not experienced it himself but had read it. But he has a discerning mind. Very little actual fanboy drivel gets through to even be questioned. Which is why I posed the question here. And the remark was about me stuttering, not him

Dude, just download the demos for both your systems then compare the graphics. The PS3 version suffers from bad framerate issues, and uses way too much motion blur to try and hide it. The 360 version on the other hand is a much smoother experience overall, running at constant 30 fps. Giantbomb.com mentions this in their review. Check it out. I'll be getting the pc version...if it ever comes out.

hey play fair demos are not the way the game is going to look when it launches think dude

The xbox 360 version looks and runs slightly better. The AA is noticeably better on the 360.

Comparison video

There also have been issues with frame rate on the PS3 version.

There is no evidence that the lead developing console was PS3.

But if you want free internet,go for the PS3 version.

Besides AA/framerate issues on the PS3, they're identical. The 360 screen tearing is unplayable, horrid when running at 1080p. (upscaled) Have to switch the console to 720 output to fix it.

That BS, the game at least for me is so bad that i can't even play it at that resolution, huge cut through the screen, mainly during cutscenes. Game is criticised heavily because of it, how can you not have it at all? Was there some recent patch?

dunno? I didn't buy it at launch. But I've played it for, what, over 20 hours at 1080p... There was a patch. What it fixed and when it was implemented is unknown to me.

I also play at 1080p and there is a little screen tear during some cut scenes, not much though. I have seen zero screen tear during game play.

I'll look into it, you sure you have the 360 output set to 1080p? I'll try it out again, when i borrow the 360 version.

Definitely sure. :P I didn't upgrade from a 720p tv to a 1080p tv without setting all my visual components to reflect that.

Yup the 360 version does have screen tearing issues. But 720p is fine for any game,as the PS3 does not have force upscaling to 1080p,it runs most games at 720p.So i dont see how the PS3 has advantage over that ?

As somebody who has played both. The PS3 version suffers from a few minor framerate problems and lack of anti-aliasing where the 360 version suffers from lack of 1:1 pixel-mapping which causes the video to sort of "lag". Personally, I thought the controls felt better on the PS3 version as the game forces you to frequently use the shoulder buttons, which are normally fiddly on the 360.

Edit: disregard my comment about the lack of 1:1 pixel-mapping. As another poster noted, this isn't an issue if you set your 360 to output at 720p as there is no upscaling on the PS3 version anyway.

IGN did a comparison. The PS3 version has minor framerate issues. If you can't tell, then whatever, but they're there, so therefore 360 is the way to go.

IGN and GT made comparisons, and both favored the 360 I think. Nevertheless, the differences are too minimal for somenone to notice. Don't pay it too much attention and get the version you like.
