[QUOTE="Parasomniac"]PS3 version will most likely run at 30fps due to its ram limitationsGeneralmojo
wipeout HD= 60 fps!!
OWNAGE!
Wipeout isn't rendering much.
But anyway, the problem with the PS3 is that it has 256mb of system RAM and 256mb video RAM.
The 360 is much more flexible when it comes to its unified 512mb.
Review sites? god you go by other people opinions lol,and whats so impressive about KZ2 the 2d semi transparent lights? or the per pixel 2D shadow casting? without that kz2 is nothing, don't get me wrong the game looks amazing but is not like the first game using deferred lighting XBOX360 can pull out a rendering like that examples an xbox 360 exclusive Crackdown used deferred lighting/ rendering, take into account the KZ2 has been years in development and plus a huge amount of cash from sony's side.McdonaIdsGuy
Oh when i hear people with the "it takes devs 3 years to make a ps3 game look as good as kz2" thing....it annoys me....that is just crap, and i give you Uncharted/uncharted 2 to back me up, uncharted2 will look as good if not better than kz2, and how long it'll be in development? about 1/3 the time of kz2 if not 1/4. The skils and tools devs have are important as.Kz2 will probably have more detailed gameplay after all, but you don't need that much time to make a game look great(concerning the ps3 cuz it's the more complicated platform)
[QUOTE="Al3x_n90"][QUOTE="McdonaIdsGuy"]You're not right and the guy played the game,i played the demo and there was like 30 guys on the screen without frame problems,i think you're passing your opinion as fact, and i belive more capcom than a random fanboy from video game board.-Mad_Rhetoric-
Oh the irony, look who is talking about fanboyis.
Anyway listen dude, i DID NOT SAY IT HAD FRAME PROBLEMS, did i say that? i believe not. I just said that saying the game will run at a constant 60fps is not true, and anyway chris isn't that fast so you don't need a constant 60fps(like in a fighting or racing game) so even if the game runs at 30 fps while many enemies are on the screen you won't notice, because you're too busy shooting and you probably don't have a trained eye, everything above 30fps is ok(if you're not in a fighting game or racing game). The game may runt at 60fps while you're in the village and no zombies are around, but when zombies start to appear the frame will go down to 50-40-30 frames, depending on the number of enemies, now do you get it?
everyone listen to this guy, he is obviously an experienced dev, and knows 100% what he is talking abutActually you just need to think a little :P
[QUOTE="Parasomniac"]PS3 version will most likely run at 30fps due to its ram limitationsgodofwar2610LMAO Ps3 has just as much RAM as x360 and its even faster!!! The 360 has far more General Raam.
Of course it will be vastly superior on the 360
I predict an AAA on the 360 and an A or AA on the ps3
Rdiz
man too bad sites have been saying they look idetical in the newer areas (more up-to-date coding for both versions)
now who to beleive...a credible source
or a random porter on some forum?
:?
[QUOTE="inertk"]" whats so impressive about KZ2 the 2d semi transparent lights? or the per pixel 2D shadow casting?" oh my god stop it. McdonaIdsGuyDon't tell me what to do and what about you stoping me?
um...maybe you should actually research what your talking about
lol you cant be serious if it gets an AAA on 360 u really beleive that the ps3 version can get as low as an A? cmon now, resident evil started off as a playstation franchise, and i gurantee that they will be identical and both same scoresOf course it will be vastly superior on the 360
I predict an AAA on the 360 and an A or AA on the ps3

Capcom doesn't lie and I recall Resident Evil 4 being one of the best looking games last gen running smoothly throughoutToriko42they dont lie REALLYYYYYY
I wouldn't doubt it hits 60 fps with it's horrible scenery graphics. Models look great, but the scenery looks like rubbish.
Honestly though, the demo is pretty fun which means I'll probably buy it.
[QUOTE="godofwar2610"][QUOTE="Parasomniac"]PS3 version will most likely run at 30fps due to its ram limitationsOmegaTauLMAO Ps3 has just as much RAM as x360 and its even faster!!! yeah they still don't understand hardware its split parasomniac read up on it
While the PS3 and 360 do have the same amount of RAM, the 360 is just more flexible.
Like if a game uses more more system RAM than Video RAM then It will work best on the 360 because they can specify where the 512 goes.
However With the PS3 its set in stone, which can in some situations be a good thing.
Capcom's latest is wholeheartedly beautiful in every regard, whether you're visually dissecting the detailed character models, the enormity of the world or the host of graphic effects that give it life, and yet the fluidity never strays from 60 frames
Let me just note that Resident Evil 5McdonaIdsGuy
I love LOVE the Resident Evil series, but don't go comparing its Gears or Killzone in graphics. Gears has textures covered, and Killzone 2 has animations, lighting, AI, physics covered.
So RE5 >>>>. crysis? I confirm and understand.MachineLike7who said that? desperate fanboys trying to make RE5 look bad?
too bad RE5 has GameCube animations/physics......I dont know why everyone is so impressed by this game.....everything from shooting, to walking, to enemy reaction to being shot, to enemy walk animations to enemy death animations, to item pickups are all recycled from RE4. The graphics may be cleaner.....(obviously they should be its in 720p), but the technical aspect of it overall is VERY unimpressive.UptownWhat you say is mostly true, but it still doesn't take away from the fact that the game looks stunning.

Its better to have Gamecube's physics than the extremely awkward, sometimes never stopping, unrealistic rag-doll physics we see in games today.
I have to see this to believe it. Console games almost never run at 60 FPS. Funny though how the best shooter of this generation (COD4) runs at 60 FPS :).
If this is true about Resident Evil 5, that is amazing. Capcom is awesome.
So RE5 >>>>. crysis? I confirm and understand.MachineLike7People just never shut up about Crysis, do they?
thats great but gears 2 is a classicnaruto7777how in the world is gears 2 a "classic"... its not even a year old, and from what i hear it was a rushed out game for the holidays with a bug/lag infested multiplayer
[QUOTE="TOAO_Cyrus1"]Well RE5 isnt perfect. It has no physics and it has a very flat lighting modle IMO. Different games focus on different things.EyezonmiiYou have no idea what your talking about. Well from what I've seen, the physics in RE5 aren't on the level of KZ2, or even Gears 2. But still running at 60fps is an awesome feat for this amazing looking game :).

Prove me wrong. These immages show flat lighting with little variation. From the demo the physics are non existent, everythign is animated.Killzone 2 and Gears 2 have far better lighting and physics. That said the game is one of the best looking of this generation. Liek I said no game is perfect.

What does Frames per second have to do with graphics anyways? Diviniuz
