RE5 was my most wanted game...till i saw this!

Sorry if this gameplay trailer is a little old (probebly is) but it blew me away! the graphics breathtaking, the amount of new features the game will pack... i really have no idea where to start but trust me you wathch the vid and you will understand why i am soo pumped for this game. I'm a RE fan yet this looks way better then anything i have seen in RE5 yet :D

The hard part is knowing which version to get. I'll see how it goes with the Wii controls but if there not used well i'll be getting the PC version of this. this game will score high no doubt!

Alone in the Dark was awesome back in the day. I never played anything following the first game though. What happened to the series?

I've always thought that the concept of "owning" someone had bad rhetoric. But linking it to a game where you play a white guy with a gun killing "spooky black farmers" triggered my better nature. If Casey disagree's then I damn well don't care.

Its not a realistic game. It just has some depth of realism in it.

It doesn't matter. I'm certain that somebody is systematically reporting all of my posts because they are more interested in a videogame than the ghosts that it will unearth. Even if I am removed from this forum for talking badly about a videogame, how are you going to stop the controversy that will insue once it hits the store shelves?

I'll stop now. But expect RE5 to be banned in Africa and most other countries.

The first one was great (which is probably why RE1 completely ripped it off), but the later games became too focused on the combat and ended up sucking (from what I've played - I never bothered to finish any of the other games).

Bah! The Witcher and NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer kicked a huge amount of arse last year.

Back on topic, now that RE5 looks to be even more of an action game than RE4 was, it looks like Alone in the Dark 5 will probably be a more satisfying game for fans of the survival horror genre.

If that were the case then the only action would be to remove all black people from video games in which they can be killed, as any one occurance is bound to upset someone. However that in and of itself is inherantly racist as it segregates the two cultures even more, is that really what you want? Would this game be ok if it was a black man killing black farmers? Heck, we dont know much abou tthe charactor, maybe hes brazillian, does that change things?

You are correct, slavery was abolished in the 1860s, but it was still legal to bar blacks from public places, discourage them from voting and legislate against them until the 60's. YES 1960s. Furthermore, lynchings were still being performed in the 1960s in the south. So to say that slavery was abolished in the 1860s is only telling part of the story.

How similar was Resi 1 to Alone in the Dark? All I ever played was a bit of the second and 'A new Nightmare'- including the GBA version.
