Realistic Hyping - Lair - A, Heavenly Sword - High AA

Why do we always get posts like this? You could say this same thing about every single thread. When someone makes a thread all they're really doing is putting an opinion out there, same as blogging. If you don't like the thread, don't post in it. Doesn't get any simpler than that.

Lair isn't hyped AAA, it's hyped AA.

If every game were to be hyped realisticly, hardly any would pass A-AA status.

I doubt Lair will even reach the A-mark..it has looked mediocre to me from the first time it was revealed; and still does look average now.

Heavenly Sword on the other hand...I have always thought of this as an AAA title (PS3's first exclusive AAA); but after reading some impressions on the recently released demo (no, I have not played it myself); AA seems more likely.

Tell me sir, what makes TC an authority on "realistic hype." Had he presented an article written by someone in the gaming press saying this, that'd be one thing. We coudl debate that. What's the point in debating some obvious fanboy in what he thinks is realistic hype? This is just a lame attempt to start a lem v cow war. Same as if I said realistic hype for bioshock was A and Mass Effect was AA.

1. I played the Heavenly Sword demo. I loved it. I am hyping it high AA because that is easily still a great game. Fair expecations for a game may end up surprising you in the end.

2. Sure we can add 360 games and Wii games why not.

Wii - MP3 - high AA to low AAA, SMG - high AA to low AAA, SSBB - AA

360 - Halo 3 - low AAA, Mass Effect - AAA, BioShock - AA to high AA

those are the big games for those systems... i think those are fair predictions....feel free to debate it

If Jeff Gertsman doesn't review Super Mario Galaxy, I assure you, SMG will score AAA...maybe even high AAA.

Personally hyping Bioshock AAA, it currently looks far more interesting than any other shooter right now.

Mass Effect...looked upon it as an AAA game ever since it was annouenced.

Halo 3...now this is a tricky one...seen a lot from the multiplayer-portion of the game...looks great thus far. But barely anything regarding the single player has been revealed, and the single player of the Halo games is the portion I hold most dearly. AA-AAA is my guess; AA "only" would be surprising though.

I think these are all fair predictions for these games. I am showing no fanboyism here. I have seen alot of Lair hype threads about it being AAA and I strongly disagree. Everyone is putting up their OWN OPINION on these forums and that is what they are for. Everything on a forum is subjective and not fact.

I am hardly trying to start any war because I own both a 360 and PS3 and plan on buying a Wii soon. I hold know fanboyism when I put up these scores, which I believe are very realistic. If you do not think so, then you can state your opinion. But I wont tell you not to post your opinion like you have told me, sir.

There's no way either of them should get less than 8.5. I think Lair will possibly be a 9 because of the added touches (soundtrack and script).

Dont you mean your hyping Heavenly Sword a AAA?? You can no longer get high AA on Gamespot anymore. ITs either a low AA or mid AA or a AAA. Since you said high AA it would really be a AAA

Im confused how I'm a Cow when I have a 360 and a Halo 3 avatar. Halo 3 is my most anticipated game. So, am I a lemming now? Either way those are fair predictions. I think Lair is being overhyped at AAA and at AA. I would say A/AA is fair. Hopefully it surprises me.

IMO..if either scores under AAA there will be FLOP calls all over the place. I'm not saying it's right, but when cows go around hyping these games huge they better make sure the game lives up to the hype.
