We all know that sometimes games that are not exactly good can sometimes be huge commercial successes (I e 50 cent bulletproof). Is it possible for an inferior system to do better financially than a superior overall system? Like a dreamcast versus a N64?

PS1 beat the N64. PS2 beat the GCN and Xbox. GameBoy beat the GameGear. DS is beating the PSP. Technologically it's nothing new for an inferior product to beat a superior one.

I owned a Sega Saturn. I kept reading about the amazing 2d games for the Saturn in Japan and how it crushed everything else out. I never got to play those games.

I was talking about a system with a more acclaimed game library no software will mean more, the system with the bigger library and can attract a larger audience than one specific one will win.
