Really? why doesnt the 360 have a web browser.

the more i think about it.the more it doesnt make sense.out of all the big 3.the only console that doesnt have a web browser is microsofts 360.but of all the big 3, its the only one that is first and foremost a software company.its the only one where the the users have to pay, and its not like ms doesnt have a web browser.its called INTERNET EXPLORER.seriously, it makes no sense.dont get me wrong, i love my xbox, and i think live is superior to the other online services.but i really wish theyd add one. what do u guys think?

the reason id like a browser on my 360 is id think it be nice to just chill on the couch, and browse on my 42" tv. and im just saying, it couldnt be too much work on ms's part.as they already have a browser built.

MS has the PC for that, why would they waste their time with the 360?

They wouldn't sell as many movies and TV show's obviously. That Netflix deal wouldn't work so well either....people would use the brower and circumvent having to pay for GOLD.

While all that's true, except for the Wii browser. The PS3's Browser supports HD, allows you to go to more sites, has updated versions of Flash, allows custom soundtracks while you are surfing, and allows you to save pics right off the net to the HDD.

As far as buggy, yeah, both consoles have buggy browsers, but if you ask me, that's more of a reason for Xbox to step in and show them how it's done.

Losing those Music Video, TV show, Movie sales are an issue for them, at least according to my sources. ;)

When you compare Netflix to PS3 streaming, you may be right, are you using Tvserity, that program is fantastic for streaming.

Still, I would expect Netflix to operate well, considering the double fees it requires to operate, once for Gold, and once for Netflix themselves.

TBH, I only use the browsers from my couch to go to IMBD, or Wiki, something simple and quick just to see something about a historical figure or Actor/Directors.

I think the Teens in their bedrooms get far more use out of Browsers from consoles these days.:shock::P

I don't really want a browser. I've got a laptop so I might be a special case though. What i'd prefer is for MS to buy up a company like PlayOn or partner with video sources on the web like Amazon on Demand, Hulu, YouTube and Crunchyroll (last one is probably too niche to ever happen).

There is a brwoser, you have to connect it to a Windows Media center pc for its Internet. It works for me, I have several computers always on, not that it's useful. I don't play consoles much.JigglyWiggly_

Forget the web browers having a cheese grater on the 360 would be much better. You know how many times I want my cheese grated, but had to walk all the way into the kitchen to do it, pain in the butt. :D

The PS3 browser is rather crappy as it is. There's really no need for one.
