I think the questions are more like 1. Why does MS charge $50 yr per ID and advertise on it's console? 2. Why did they release knowingly faulty hardware out to the public at over 50% failure rate? 3. Why did they stick with last gen disc format that sucks and is outdated? 4. Why no WiFi? 5. Why no HD movie player? 6. Whydo they make you buy their HDDs only, so you can't go above 300gb and pay $160 for it? While Sony lets you buy any brand 2.5 SATA 5400 HDD? Why no rechargable controllers? Why has Sony been able to make a $600 that's worth $800 and reduce it down to $100 lower than MS closest comparable, the Elite in less than 3 years while MS has had 4 years to lower costs and a year with no competition to boot? Why does MS have to charge for online and Sony doesn't? Why are Sony's games that come on a more expensive bluray disc and are unscratchable cost the same as the 360 game discs that are cheap scratchable last gen discs? Why can I DL free themes from my web browser or create my own themes free with free DLd software Paint.net and PS3 theme creator and MS makes you only buy there's?
Answer to your question and these questions is simple. Sony gives it's gamers way-way more for their moneythan any other console maker in the business period! All the while maintaining the most powerful and reliable console on the market that is more versatile from it's themes to it's HDD.
