AC-130, oh boy, BF has none of those. Yeah, having a certain kind of vehicle doesn't make a game better.

Finding a person who randomly appeared out of nowhere and shooting them 2 times in the back does not take skill.

I wasn't aware a game with pay to play terrain was giving players something new. B2K was only 2 months ago, and it actually had more than just new terrain.

No the campaign is won of the worst. Have you even played games like Half-Life and Halo? They are plenty of games, including shooters, that curbstomp Call of Duties campaigns. Plus the story sucks. Call of Duty story in a nutshell: Lets kill some evil Moslems/Russians/Germans/Japanese.

Zombies, now where else have I seen something like that, oh that's right, every-f***ing-where. Horde-mode on Gears, Firefight on Halo, why would I want to play Call of Duty Zombies when I can play way better survival modes on other popular shooters.

lol i played cod on a friends xbox (i suck with xbox controller since i don't own one) at 1am while slightly drunk and still got a 7 kill streak.

I take it you played it at a friends house on a console and decided it was crap. Or you just read some reviews.

You just can't handle not being able to quickscope your way to the top of the leaderboard.

At launch there were a lot of CoD fanboys who bought BF3, only played the TDM, and complained it was to slow, the guns were to weak, and you couldn't customize the classes more. The ones who played with vehicles believed all of the vehicles were really overpowered.

Bascially they all complained they couldn't be one man armies and matches took longer than 10 minutes to finish.

They only said that it would be better and take a market share from COD. It did both of those things. MW3 is almost the same damn game as MW2, while BF3 offered changes from BFBC2 and BF2.

It's addicting but it's pretty muchmodern cheap warfare in multiplayer mode

The SP is linear and on rails

The games barely innovate anymore.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head. I do love me some Zombies though.

Yes, they are great games and are very entertaining, but they are not the greatest franchise ever. They started as Medal of Honor clones, and only became distinct when COD4 came out. Every other game in the franchise since then (Excluding the Treyarch games) have just been clones of COD4 with more guns thrown in the mix.

This has got to be a troll thread, innovation and COD? I'm sorry but did you just take a time machine from when COD 4 just came out and came to our time period? Because I recommend you play the other COD games they've been making every single year, it's anything but innovative.

The core gameplay is great, but it needs some tweaks now. Serioulsy I played MW3 and got bored in like 20 minutes.

The majority of the things stated in the OP are either problems or just untrue.

The reason it's popular is because it appeals to so many people due to accessibility and it makes you feel like a badass without doing too much thinking.

DLC is a plague to the industry. But if you enjoy paying extra for maps they cut off prior to release, then good for you.

No, just no. It's not the best... Have you played any game other than CoD to realize this? Ok, Treyarch's CoDs had decent campaign, but it's not the 'best'. as for Modern Warfare, is just stupid. That's all I can say for MW.
