It´s not power supply issue. 680W is more than enouh for one single PCIE card. Besides we don´t even know if his problem really persists.jhonMalcovich
It could be. I have a Diablotek 750w PSU that was more than sufficient to power an AMD HD 5770. Yet, when I replaced my HD 5770 with a GTX 560 Ti, I started having overheating issues with both the Diablotek PSU and the GTX 560 Ti.
This is my guess...... If someone has a better guess, you're more than welcome.
Although the Diablotek should have plenty of juice, it's +12v railing was good for only 38A. Most good PSUs have at least 50A on the +12v railing. At least, that's my observation. When I replaced the Diablotek with a 700w CoolerMaster and a +12v of 54A, all the overheating issues with the GTX 560 Ti disappeared.Â

That 750w Diablotek does not have enough @SS behind it to allow large power loads.

I suspect 680 watts may not be enough to power that system reliably under a full load.

Definitely this, his PSU has enough capacity and is of a decent quality, we can rule that out. Sounds like some driver issue, so Clyde's guide should be the way to go. Only other thing that falls in mind could be a bad OC, if he tried that.
I have never overclocked and will never do, it is far above my head, i am new to PC world.
PC gaming is fun but fix problems is not fun, it only give me headache and i get frustrated when it not work lol
Wii was so easy, just press power button, put in game disc and play without any problems.

Why don't they ever make anything like Mass Effect or Gears or GTA or Heavy Rain as PC exclusive?
Because it sells better on console.
Why do they make MMO PC exclusive?
Because it's strong enough to handle it, and PC gamers already used to getting ripped off and having their time wasted.
Why do they make RTS PC exclusive?
Because a mouse is a natural requisite to having a good RTS experience, nobody buy RTS for console.

There is no "exclusivity" on PC.
If something is good on PC, it comes to console.
PC is like college hoops.
Console is like NBA.
They recruit from PC, take their talent from PC, take the best games from PC, take best tech from PC.
As a result the console experience is a distillation of the best the PC has to offer, boiled down, filtered and bottled for mass consumption.
Essentially PC gamers are deeply hurt at lack of attention and focus to their platform.
They want to be console bros, and get attention and have Usher dancing for them.
But the world just ignores the PC.

All of those games are held in high regard by both gamers and critics, making a huge hole in your argument. There's also plenty of genre variety right there, so "LOL RTS/MMO" can't really pass for any sort of an argument.
And please, whatever you do, don't mention Usher and the PC in the same sentence again!

All of those games sold well enough to make sequels worthwhile, in some cases those sequels even went multiplatform. But even then, the predcessors stayed PC exclusive...
I disagree with this lack of interest, some devs simply may prefer the enviroment of an open platform, and that is a valid reason to stay PC exclusive.
As for Bethesda games, I was refering to mods and community fixes more than graphics, since usually, unmodded Bethesda games can get messy if a game breaking bug or two kicks in, and you're stuck with few weeks of waiting for an official patch that may fix the issue. But you're right about one thing, I do have lots of interest in hardware and technology trends, but I don't see how that makes me any less of a gamer...

TOR had the biggest budget of a game ever and that was in 2011.
So that list is outdated and invalid
Â
Â
His original point is still very much valid. There are some big budget PC games, but they are very few and far between compared to console games. Threads made BY HERMITS showing lists of upcoming PC games are proof enough. The vast majority are small budget / indie games that could probably run on a 4 year old iPhone.
GT4 was on the PC, wasn't it? What's your point here? Look at what all these big budgets are doing to the gaming industry. They are killing it. Devs closing their doors left and right. All that's left are mega publishers like EA and Activision. Now how is having a big list of big budget games a good thing? Quite frankly, a lot of the games on the PC I wanna play don't have huge budgets. You don't have to have $100 million to make a great game. Now I do feel that they have their place, otherwise we wouldn't have the best looking version of Crysis 3 on the PC.Please Log In to post.
