RECORE HYPE THREAD!!!

I'm still being very cautious with my hype for this game... but I'm definitely excited to try it out.

7 at best; still buying to support dev/publisher for taking a risk by making something different even if i didn't find what little i have seen of it compelling.

Yeah I have it ready to download. I was all in when I learned the blue core isn't limited to just the dog. The Core's are the personalities, and the player can put the yellow core in the Hulk, the blue into the spider-bot if they wish. Each core has its own special attack so mixing them with different forms will provide different applications.

I also read and watched vids on YouTube and one of the major things to come out of E3 about this is how challenging it was. Supposedly devs were going to tone it down a little. I hope it is still challenging.

I chose 8. I'm still on the fence about it. But now with TF2 sucking balls and DR and SP not until December, I might give this a try to hold me over until gears 4. Really not much out right now. I'm still playing mostly halo 5 (almost a year old) and Overwatch

I did, so hopefully it is good enough to deserve the thread. :P

Looks bad.

Very little has been shown and what has been shown is neither amazing or bad. I am going with a 7/10 because I feel like the premise and story have potential to elevate the mediocre elements. This game reminds me of Kameo and Enslaved. That is not a bad thing. :)

I would also not be surprised if it scores lower than a 7/10 considering how little we have seen of it. Usually, if a game is really good, the publisher will want to show it off as much as possible. That hasn't happened.

I voted AA. Good hype thread Heil. I'll pick this up after I clear my backlog a bit more. As long as reviews for it aren't bad or anything. The videos I've seen look fun to me. Definitely excited to try it out.

Not to take away from it, but Note to future HYPE threads (for all future HYPE thread creators):

If you are going to include a poll (instead of personal HYPE levels/individual counts), don't include the HYPE thread pics/words material in that first post.

The second and third post should contain all the pictures/paragraphs about the game to avoid having to read the long HYPE on each page of the thread. It's a glitch with adding polls and it makes reading HYPE threads a lot easier not having to scroll though a longwinded OP on each corresponding page.

I learned this years back, and I have attempted to explain it in various HYPE threads I've come across, but only after the fact. Some people don't understand the poll problem and I figured I would explain that for any would be future HYPE thread creators. :P

My HYPE is a 6/10 after researching the developer, maybe a 7/10 if they got the polish they need. Probably 65/100 metascore. Personally, I hope though the game is higher, a 10/10 (love to add it to my Xbone collection), but I try to be as accurate as I can with HYPE guesses and the developer/studio hasn't impressed me enough with previous work to guess any higher yet.

That's what I thought. I remember going through the sticky a while back and you had reserved a couple. Great job, bud.

My hype is at a 7. Combat looks repetitive and will get boring. Story and setting will be good, graphics look great but not much going on. My prediction is a solid game but nothing special.

I'm saying a 8/10 with a 83 metacritic.

this game looks sort of like mighty number 9 just not my favorite robot designs.

Most of the hype is coming from Cows. I am going to do what the Cows do and not hype any games.

you should wait for reviews don't buy something blindly, its not good for the industry.

Depending of how much care was put into the game this could be one of the positive surprises of the year. Maybe AA for meta scores and a A in Gamespot.

Even if you wanted to hype a game, there is nothing left on the Xbone that isn't available somewhere else. Nothing left to hype, gone are the days of Halo hype and such.

selling as a budget game + doesn't looks that great. If this was something a bit different like Life is Strange then 8s are possible or if it was a really cheap indie game, but its price bracket puts it in the category of an attempted AA-AAA game that didn't make the cut.

Put me down for an 8. Game looks interesting.

8/10, looks good fun but seems to be stuck in awkward spot between full AAA release and indie game.

Metroid Prime team has awesome pedigree obviously, so I trust them to make something great, it's more a question of resources/budget.

IDK, the artistry and theme is cool, but the gameplay seems fairly generic. I'm going with a guess of a personal 7, but an 8 for the GS review

I'm hoping for the best, here. Just watched part of a 15-minute gameplay video and it looks solid; has that feeling of a new IP that's not grimdark or uber-serious which is something I've felt lacking since Gen 6.

Definitely curious to see how it is received. I won't pick it up at launch, but sometime down the line I probably will (unless it's a broken mess.)

Also, good hype thread! Solid info, and I really want that Collector's Edition statue.

Got to play a demo for this. It was meh. Pretty basic puzzle design and combat, hopefully they just put in the boring parts in the demo. It controls well enough, but the it gets pretty repetitive.

I see a 7 (good) at first blush, having not played it. Hope it does well... New ip and new ideas are a must in today's gaming landscape.

With a reward certificate and gamers club unlocked, the game was under $30.00 at Best Buy. You also get the code for R&K plus an interesting looking hat. What's the worse that happens if it turns out bad? I make a few dollars when I sell it.

Recore is an AA game lower your expectations for this. Its single player game. I predict a 6 to 7 out of 10 rating.

I picked 8.0 on the poll, but then I remembered this is Gamespot so I should have said it would get a 7.0 here. Wish i could change my choice, oh well.

I pre-ordered it. Hell with my GCU at Best Buy plus some rewards certificates the game will cost me around $25 so why not. It looks like fun.

Anyways, I'm guessing a 65-70 range on MC.

I'm hoping at least an 8. It has three of my favorite things - fanny, "dogs", and robots. Graphics look good too!
