Judging by this thread, this is certainly a game that divides opinion right down the middle.
I loved it. John Marston is probably the best video game character ever.

Its a great game and the Undead nightmare DLC was good too but I think the best video game character ever created is Ezio Auditore da Firenze.
I would mostly agree with you had I not played Red Dead or Brotherhood. He was great in Ass Creed II but I completely lost interest in him after Brotherhood.
Did you play revelations and watch embers?I loved how they finished his and altair's story.Hopefully Ubisoft will learn from their mistakes and create an even better character for the next AC.

No, I'm not going to touch Revelations unless it lands in my lap, free of charge. I'm pretty sure it would taint my opinion of Ezio even further.
And that's exactly what they needed after Ass Creed II, a new character, instead of bringing back Ezio and ruining him.
Still haven't played it, and can't wait to give it a burl once shifting countries. Glad to hear it reached those sales, Rockstar seemed to do a remarkable job.
