There you go. 8.5. That's a pretty awesome score to be honest. I wonder why so little people actually talk about it :/
This game need more praise!

gametrailers review seems more fair
sikanderahmed
it's also the lowest one out of them all with over 20 other reviews hovering around 80-90% and even some 100's.
It's not showing up for me. Weird.
jamejame
yup that's is really weird. I can see it myself. Does it work for others?

i can see the score but review isnt working.....same thing happened to infamous review, UK site gets the review few minutes late
Knew I was going to pick it up for my experience with the demo. Just don't know when, I'm still running a backlog on my 360 lol.
Excellent, glad it ended up getting good reviews. I will probably buy it when it goes on sale however.
[QUOTE="-Pred-Alien-"]Great score, this game has caught everyone by surprisegamer620Not people that enjoyed the original.Yeah but those games were pretty standard.
[QUOTE="gamer620"][QUOTE="-Pred-Alien-"]Great score, this game has caught everyone by surprise-Pred-Alien-Not people that enjoyed the original.Yeah but those games were pretty standard. I disagree about the first game. I can't speak for the sequel, as I never played it, but the original game, I don't think I can say it enough, used the fantastic foundation set by Half Life, added in a somewhat advanced (sadly underused) terrain deformation model (that up until a few years back hadn't really even been matched, despite its limited implementation) and what is in my opinion some of the best gun play in any FPS game (thanks to a fantastic weapon set). That doesn't include the Multiplayer which, when it wasn't laggy was fantastic. I don't think you can label that as being "pretty standard" and then call a game like Halo or Killzone or to make it more personal for you based on your avatar MGS4 as being truly original.
Not out in the UK till tomorrow, will be picking it up then. Hows the multiplayer? Any good or is it something that's going to die off rather fast?

It was the atmosphere that made the first one though. Still though, each succesive game has been very different from the last.
And yeah, i still think the franchise before this game was rather standard, Halo has continued to better itself despite having great games already out, and Killzone, sequel or not was indeed a great experience. As for MGS4, im just a sucker for the series, but its easily the best game of the generation
The Demo represents the worst parts of the game... I spent 2 hours when i got the game just blowing stuff up. I failed missions simply because I had to much fun blowing up buildings. If you that doesn't sound like a good time to you don't buy the game. In my opinion there is something amazing about blowing up a building, thinking you are far enough outside of the blast zone only to be crushed by a piece of debris that falls ontop of you because despite the fact you were outside of the explosion, the debris follows a dynamic path based on the explosion. You can create a meta game of just dodging debris if you wanted to.Judging by the demo, that's a generous score.

Ive been playing it the last couple days and its pretty awesome. The destructibility is really impressive. web966I agree, I haven't had this much fun in a SP game for awhile!
Eh, they call it repetitive, that's pretty much the worst possible thing you can say about any game and already enough to exclude it from ever being AA in my books.ManicAce
Perhaps the gameplay in itself and the multiplayer is so frickin' awesome that it outweighs all the complaints about it being repetitive?
Also, the gamespot review says the game looks great. In your faces, graphics-whores. :P
And yes Bioshockownz, I won this battle!
