There's already a game coming out that doesn't require friend codes. Mario Strikers Charged had random matches so you didn't need them. Mario Kart and Super Smash Brothers are two of Nintendo's biggest franchises so if Mario Strikers had random matches, they probably will too.

Does anyone know if there will be download content and online play for the PS2 version of GH3? Cause if it does not at least have online, then I will buy my own Wii when I go to college and get it for that console. My brother has a Wii and I own the PS2 so we play Guitar Hero on my PS2 right now but if I get GH3 then I will get the wireless controller so we can play co-op and he will just get the Wii version when he wants to play it when I am gone off to college. I hope for Nintendo's sake that they do a firmware update that at least supports USB memory sticks for the Wii, that way GH3 players will be able to download content, assuming that there is DLC for the Wii version.

Why were people doubting it would? It's been on Red Octane's official website the whole time. And Matt mentioned that the "WiFi COnnection" option was on the main menu of the game when he played a demo of it. :|

I'm not sure about this, but I think I read something about madden by passing friend codes.

Great. Now I can mess up people's guitar harmonies while they're like 100 miles away so they can't do anything about it.

This thread wasn't meant to say, "Look at the Wii! It has online! Uber!"

It's meant to appease those naysayers who said GH3 for the Wii didn't have online.
