Well I am very glad that they are taking this approach for the Next Zelda game on the Nintendo regardless of how long it takes, and since it been this long I would rather they try to perfect it before releasing it. Personally for me if the Zelda game was to be perfect the game must somehow have a new feel to it that takes it another direction while at the same time fuses with the old tradition gameplay that this series have been using over the years.
Super Mario Bros. 5 (aka NSMBW)?Reggie: "The new Zelda title has to be a perfect... way to make us more money!!!"
Lol. I hope so. An amazing Wii 1st-party exclusive is something we haven't had in a while.

It'll come out eventually, be a really, really good game, and many many people will love it, but then depending on what it's like, people will eithersay that it's the same game as OoT and TP again, or say that they've abandoned the roots of the series. I'm not saying Nintendo can't win, because they WILL win because they'll make lots of money, but they're not going to please everyone.
even the worse zelda is still better then most games out now
so i dont see how this could go wrong
of course there are people who hate on TP
but thats just the same people who hated on WW graphical style

zelda OoT and A link to the past are those 2 games that appear on most "best game ever" lists
together with mario 64 and tetris
[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"]FUND IT But where does the living sword fit in? lol if i had the money i would, and my story as described above would be new none of the current ideas we know of zelda.what im expecting is a game in the vein of twilight princess i dont want kiddy any more, I've seen adult link wiith an adult themed story and i like it, I wanna see the further story of him and midna damit the love story between them was left unfinished, I wanna see link become to the bad guy in grief of losing her and try to steal the other triforce so as to break the dimensional walls and get her back.

So basically I should be expecting this game in November of 2011. Cool, hopefully Galaxy 2 and Metroid Other M come out on time.
I meant high quality titles that have came out recently. I pretty much own all the best Wii games (except, Metroid trilogy, NSMB, and Zelda TP). The problem is that I haven't seen anything I've wanted this year and I haven't seen anything I want next year.[QUOTE="mD-"][QUOTE="nintend-man86"] metroid prime was solid. mario kart wii was pretty much solid. wii sports is super sick. i had online for brawl but i never played it. it was all about the trophys manHalf-Way
your confusing high quality with games YOU like
Are you really going to start an argument with me that Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii, and Resident Evil 4 Wii aren't high quality titles, just games I like or that ANY Wii game that has recently came out comes even close to the amazing titles I've just mentioned?
The most recent high quality titles that have come are Metroid Trilogy and NSMB. That's pathetic. The only reason I got a Wii was Smash Bros Brawl (one of the best games ever btw =] ) and it motion controls were just an extra. Wii sports was fun, motion controls are good, but they've caused many problem for the Wii (too much shovelware).
Nintendo needs to get its act together. The annoying thing is that they don't have to because casual gamers who are inexperienced eat this **** and buy terrible games like Mario and Sonic Olympics.
[QUOTE="C-Lee"][QUOTE="GamerX2311"]Please...like Nintendo knows what gamers want.mD-Super Mario Galaxy /conversation. Barely any high quality games other than New Super Mario Bros and they absolutely did terrible on Brawl's online potential. /continueconversation Way to be extremely off topic.
Please...like Nintendo knows what gamers want.GamerX2311Their billions of dollars say hello. Casual gamers are gamers too by the way.
I just hope theres no train traveling in this one.. i like spirit tracks but ugh that was so boring.
Stick to forum posting. Stay as far away from making games as possible.....what im expecting is a game in the vein of twilight princess i dont want kiddy any more, I've seen adult link wiith an adult themed story and i like it, I wanna see the further story of him and midna damit the love story between them was left unfinished, I wanna see link become to the bad guy in grief of losing her and try to steal the other triforce so as to break the dimensional walls and get her back.

In order for it to be a perfect game it must have a perfect story. LoZ stories get repetitive. Nuf said

Why? Is it because it's "save the princess" every time? That's false, you know.
It's repetitive, so is the castlevania series. That's off-putting to some people.

How is it repetitive? What single thing repeats in every single Zelda game?

I'd like to see one, if 789Shadow doesn't mind.[QUOTE="13C"][QUOTE="789shadow"]

I'd like to see one, if 789Shadow doesn't mind.Having the criteria of "every single game" when there's 15 of them is a pretty poor rationale for claiming the series isn't repetitive.
TP wasn't even close to perfect yet that came out anyways. :P
VendettaRed07
TP was the most amazing Zelda ever

What worked back then won't work now.ilikedritA lot of times they do. Zelda and Mario, for example. The formula just does no get old.
[QUOTE="ilikedrit"] What worked back then won't work now.IronBassA lot of times they do. Zelda and Mario, for example. The formula just does no get old. Maybe not for you, but for a lot of people (like me) it does. Some people just need more variety. Try watching the same movie over and over again and again for 20 years, with some minor differences. Most people would get bored. If not, and it still brings you the same enjoyment, good for you.
Maybe not for you, but for a lot of people (like me) it does.ilikedritI know that, I mean, it's well known that there are tons different tastes in this big world o' ours :o
Most people would get bored.ilikedritNah. If MW2 and NSMBWii show something is that most people prefer a proven formula over an innovative one. And, when the proven formula is as good as the examples, there's nothing wrong with that.

"Right now, it's still in development. But the key message that Mr. Miyamoto and Mr. Aonuma is telling us is that it really has to be perfect when it launches," he said. "That really is what the Zelda fan is expecting."
"So for all of those Zelda fans out there right now, I would say enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, and know that the Zelda title for Wii is going to come out when it's perfect," he said.I can't wait to see the first trailer.
C-Lee
Perfect? They're probably going to do the exact same thing they always do and make the exact same Zelda game they always do? How hard is it to just repeat the exact same formula, and story, and characters and villains, yet again?
