Reggie: Nintendo wants to be better than Xbox Live.

It's nice that Reggie wants to do that, but in reality, Nintendo Japan makes the real decisions. NOA did block Fatal Frame 4 from being published in America.

umm ok let me restate this all the good ps3 themes are free. if you want to pay for the premium themes go ahead but as almost all people know ps3-themes.net has better themes then all of the premium themes. Why anybody would pay for these is beyond me when you can get them for free and they always look better. plus these are user made themes you can make your own which is a good thing. you can make your own on 360 also but there is no way to get ones made by other people that i know about.

Less players is BS. PSN counts all of it's accounts as one. That would be forum users, PSP, PS2 and PS3 users

There are premium gamer pics and themes on PSN and you can make your own gamer pics for the 360. I have never paid a cent for a gamer pic.

well its really not a big issue i really dont mind the gamer pics on psn as they are just a little picture. i only care about whos on. They update them very rarely.

What is all the talk slamming Reggie about this recent statement? He is not saying Wii has anything close to XBOX LIVE. Just the opposite: he is recognizing that XBOXLive is superior and acknowledges this is something Nintendo needs to improve upon.
It's a great compliment to MS, and it's reassuring to know Reggie isn't arrogant enough to say 'Hey, Nintendo is doing just as good as Live.'

If Reggie said the above, then the bashers would have a case.
I'm glad Nintendo acknowledges what has to improve on and has the ability to recognzie something superior by their competitors.

First they must become better than DS, seriously.

PSN being free has nothing to do with the quality of it. The party system is the only thing i think you pay for, not that i use it very much. And maybe some extra DLC stuff, but yeah, £40 is not worth it.

Did you even read the article? "Nintendo looks to see what can be done to be better than Xbox Live..." He wasn't comparing their current with LIVE at all. He is looking at how it's better and what they can do. Obviously if they were stuck on the old system, they wouldn't be looking to improve.
