Why? What did he say that was so crazy? He wants to bring the Nintendo online experience to equal or better levels than LIVE. It's a great compliment to LIVE and it shows he is progressive enough to realize LIVE is something good to strive for. Would you rather he shrug his shoulders and ignore it?

Well that's nice that they want to be better than XBL, but how on earth do they plan on pulling that off? They would somehow need to catch up with years of experience and infrastructure.

sony does beat xbox live IMO its free and works perfectly. when they implement voice chat xbox live better become free because what are you really paying for then? Leaderboards? hah psn has those to.

psn and xbl are in a different league than that of the wii. there is absolutely no comparison.

thats because the hardcore gamer is insatiable

1. Nintendo fixes storage problem, gives voice chat after not believing in it, gives us the most well rated 1st party games in Wii's lifespan than other nintendo consoles

2. imroves WFC over time leadingg to kart being a smooth and killer online title

3. pushes for exclusive 3rd party games like MH3, FFIV, DQ10, and promotes madworld, conduit next to their own titles like Wario Land and Animal Crossing

4. Improves on all the faults of the DS with the DSi

5. most of all, nintendo tries to introduce new exciting ways to play games, Stylus, Rumble, Analog, Motion, Wii Motion Plus, Wii Balance Board, DSi Camera. Whether you like how those worked out or not, or whether they are original or not, they're still trying really hard to do something new and different

i think he's asking himself what could they do thats better than XBL, not saying in anyway that Nintendo atually does do something better than XBL

i mean really, Nintendo has done a lot this gen with Wii and DS to satisfy core gamers, sure they've missed it sometimes, to me i'm happy i can understand why not everyone is though, but they are trying. (heck they are even rolling out video services for Wii and DSi, not something i need but some "core" gamers sure complain about it for some reason)

every console online service wants to be like and be better than xbox live. xbox live is the goal the competition want to acheive and surpass. competition is good so i hope nintendo or any other company want to make their service better for their consoles

Absolutely everything that Nintendo's online does the Xbox and Playstation do at least 10x better.

They need to ditch friend codes. That's the lamest thing. And then they actually need to include features.....

Here is a realistic goal nintendo. Try and be better than the early attempts at console online in the 90s. Wich was pretty much the equivilent of a dail-up modem in a catridge, at least they had matchmaking services.

Listen, I like that line of thinking Nintendo...you guys need to be striving to be better than X-Box Live. However, at the moment, you are no where near that level. :P Ditch the friend codes, gives us user names and friend lists, and allow for play against random players...then we'll talk about getting better than X-Box Live.

What's even worse is almost everything they add to the DSi could have been added to the existing DSs via a flash cart. The web browser they sold added RAM to the DS. They've added cameras before. They could have simply put the new firmware on a cart with extra RAM, a reversible camera, and an SD slot.

They removed the GBA slot, removing the ability to play some DS games.
