hope the talent isn't wasted on AW2.

Lots of butthurt in this thread. I think we should all start typing in bold just so people know we are special.
I've been posting in bold since before Y2K, and certainly since day one of my account created in 2005. It's now 2016.
It has nothing to do with people thinking anyone's special.
It's always obvious when people get upset they start to attack others. There is no need for it.
You are right though, NyaDamage Control is know for showing how upset he gets when he is owned and exposed with factual information.
This thread was no exception.
Let's get back on topic.
Remedy is hiring for a new project.
I know you have been posting in bold forever. I just always found it ridiculous that you go to the extra effort of highlighting your text and making it bold in an effort to stand out. Watching you two go at it is funny though. :)

It has nothing to do with people thinking anyone's special. If you are referring to the other users, they were trying to troll using tactics I've seen since 2005. They don't have a lot original ideas, I suppose.

As I explained, it was never in an effort to stand out. You got that incorrect and I've actually spoke about that over the many years. It's old news, and certainly not on topic. I have no idea why all of the sudden you are doing it, but I can guess it's the same as DamageControl's reasoning, as it was the same reasoning I saw back in 2005-2007 by long since banned trolls.
Anyways, I didn't really go at it, I just politely added on topic information, and he of course went off the deep end.
I can see the humor, and especially understand certain fanboys love seeing DamageControl defense forcers go at it, in this case I guess you liked seeing him troll because I guess you think I was slighting Remedy (which I wasn't).
That's fine. It's all good, I know I corrected a misinforming user and my work was done. The rest was meaningless ad hominems by what seems to be upset others who couldn't intellectually participate on topic.
@Salt_The_Fries: A sequel to "ANAL Wake"? Bro.........what games have you been playing?
I mean I'm a liberal NYer so do your thing but in video games? LOL
@SolidTy: Anyway, back on topic... Regardless how much Alan Wake has sold, we should all be excited that Remedy has found the means to make a sequel. Hopefully the sequel improves upon the first and reaches a wider audience so that we can see more of these type of games in the future.

You seem to enjoy bolding as well. Regarding the topic, we don't know if it's AW2, all we know from the link is that Remedy is hiring for a new project. It could be a new IP, it could be Quantum related, and of course, it could be AW2, or even something else.
The bottom-line for me, is that I will own Remedy's game day one (as I've done since 2001's Max Payne which I used to show off my PC at the time), but I do want more than a big boy version of Luigi's Mansion next time around if AW2 is in the cards. AW's world was cool, but the gameplay was repetitive (point light, shoot, etc). I spoke about that in greater detail back in 2010 when the game was brand new. I was one of SW's biggest supporters of Alan Wake before it released, heck I had been putting it on a pedastal since 2005 when it was announced before the Xbox 360 even launched.
@getyeryayasout: "keep my brown eye on this one" lmao how were you not funniest user?
TC, I agree some fog to obstruct light, dust storms would make it challenging. New enemy types that aren't weakened by light and maybe a different aspect you have toadjust to would be cool. Maybe like powerful Sonics but they can have an effect on Alan's ears as well so strategic use would be necessary.
Anyway Remedy have been devs that deliver for me so I wish them the best.
@SolidTy: I can attest to 'Ty being an Alan Wake hyper and us having discussions about it at drop in 2010. I see it as a stronger game than him perhaps. Especially on harder difficulties. But an AW2 Imo needs more than light and shooting and storytelling for my tastes.
I'm all about QB at this point. Love the cast, look forward to see how live action figures in.
lmfao i cant
another game that no one will buy, like any other game on xbox lol.. actually its not even a confirmed game yet, just maybe's lool
Alan Wake has sold like 3.1 million units....
The majority of those sales are PC though.
Here we go. Sony fanboys playing sales when they cant play games.
How long will lame ass Xbox fan boys keep using the same tired phrase? Your comment doesn't even make sense in a topic about game that probably won't release for another 3 or 4 years.

It's actually a pretty even split, also the only line I was looking at was this which is clearly not the case.
"another game that no one will buy"
I don't care about his anti-Xbox vitriol, he's talking down about the game itself and I have a problem with that.

I think Alan Wake was good game with a great premise. He was being hyperbolic saying it didn't sell, but the truth is it under-performed on Xbox 360. Of course Microsoft's brilliant strategy of releasing it on the same day as Red Dead Redemption didn't help it at all.
I wonder if the sequel will be published by Microsoft or whether they are going with a major 3rd party publisher this time. Gonna guess the former as Remedy seems pretty tight with Xbox.
