GS gave TP a 8.8 and most of the Sheep went totally crazy. Posting terrible pictures of the reviewer and posting some awful comments about him.

They also demanded he be fired.

Mario Kart probably can, if they make a few changes. There's also Disaster: Day of Crisis, Spore for the Wii, and more.

I guess that's just because gaming is evolving,and more and more fantastic games are being made more and more often. (except Halo 3 that definitely didn't deserve the AAA status)

Back when? July? The SSBB hype thread was like 4 months early. Then the game was delayed twice after that.

The SSBB hype thread was posted 7 months before the game released. About 7 months worth of updates were missed including Online wi-fi matches, custom stages, customizible soundtrack and replays.

No, what I'm saying is. After the SMG review, Microsoft and Sony Defence Force dispatched their entire army, tears and damage control were rampant. "Wii won't get another 9.5", "Wii won't get GOTY", "Wii won't get another AAA", "Oooo, time for a long drought, no AAAs for 8 months for j00".

Now fast-forward to present day. What do you see? SAME arguements, from the SAME people.

That is the point of this thread. "All anti-Wii arguements are tarnished by time".

No offense, but the game has had 12 perfect reviews, counting famitsu, and has an average rating of over 9.5.

You've never played Brawl, and are just upset with the 9.5 score(which gamespot also gave it) because your a Nintendo hater, and wanted Brawl to be written off as a GotY contender, and wanted to say there are better games out this gen on your system.

Well, there aren't. Gamespot owned fanboys, to be honest, and I think its great.

Anyone who says a difference of .5 from what they would begrudgingly give the game is "a joke" obviously has no business reviewing anything.

brawl has 10 reviews(gamerankings)... lets see if the 95 percent holds up after it gets the 101 reviews halo 3 got.

i am going to the midnight launch tonight, and plan on picking up a copy myself. personally i love smash brothers, i don't

know why you go to this length to accuse me of fanboyism when i simply don't agree with the review. i have always loved super smash, but IMO, for what brawl has added to the super smash franchise, it only deserves a 9.0

and there's a HUGE difference between a 9.0 and a 9.5

a 9.0 means the game is fantastic.

a 9.5 means its one step short of perfect.

Now the Sheep are lathering themselves all over Gamespot reviews. I wish the origianl rating system would come back. Many 9.5 games would be more like 9.2 or 9.1 and that would sure bring some egos down. Because now a game only has a choice between 9.0 and a BIG jump to 9.5. Nothing in between. So with so much rounding off, this grading curve is making people act way more arrogant than they should. And for all your 9.5 Nintendo still has the crappiest online of the three and the crappiest third-party selection.

Conversly, SMG could also have been a 9.9, or 9.8, and they round down to 9.5 because it wasn't quite a 10, Same with SSBB...

It could go either way really...
