Remember Sony Claiming PS3 = Super Computer?

Last time I checked, the Cell succeeds in FLOPS...it crunches numbers like crazy.

Sorry...the know-it-alls in here who are screaming about their computers being able to take on the Cell...I'll be laughing into tomorrow. Why? Because you test computers on more than just general purpose processing. Sorry people...

Anyone who judges the power of a console/componant in TFLOP's is hardware illiterate. When it comes to games, PC Dual core's are more powerful than the Cell, or xenon, and don't let me get started on Quad-cores. There is just sooo much more to a companant than GHz, such as cache which PC CPU's usually have much more of, not to mention the console CPU'sfeature in-order execution.

Face it, the Cell haslousy architecture, not as bad as some people think, but a super computer it is not.
