The fact they are not answering questions about it or when they do they are being very vague I think says a lot.Ill just wait for Sonys word because they actually havent said ANYTHING about used games and such so far.

Or maybe that tech is what they will use for publishers who don't want their games sold second hand? Â
Sony said they will leave it up to the publishers, are you that much out of the loop that you have to dig up 3 month old news and not know more recent info on what's going on?
[QUOTE="Shirokishi_"]The fact they are not answering questions about it or when they do they are being very vague I think says a lot.IT IS UP TO THE PUBLISHER. How many damn times does that have to be repeated?Ill just wait for Sonys word because they actually havent said ANYTHING about used games and such so far.

This. It has always been up to the publisher. Lems are desperate for M$ to drag everybody down with them so they are grasping at straws.
[QUOTE="Shirokishi_"]actually they have.... It is a vague answer like I said and you do not have any idea what used games will be like on the PS4.Ill just wait for Sonys word because they actually havent said ANYTHING about used games and such so far.

I prefer neither system to do it because I do not like the direction consoles are going. You Sony fanboys though just want to put your head in the sand pretending Microsoft would be the only one to ever do anything wrong because they are satan but Sony's PS4 is made of love and fanboy wishes. That is probably going to happen. Here is the article: http://www.gamespot.com/news/sony-patents-tech-to-block-used-games-6401992 . Looks like Microsoft and Sony are going to fight used games together. The only thing is it effects us all, even if you buy new games. Since for example GameStop would lose the money the normally make on used games they will try to keep used games as high as possible for longer. Meaning new games prices will stay at $60 or whatever they will be priced for longer. Meaning that some may be buying a lot less games throughout the year. Looks like my wii u is going to have to keep me good for longer than I thought. WllDan7Your source is out and out dated.
[QUOTE="CanYouDiglt"][QUOTE="Shirokishi_"]The fact they are not answering questions about it or when they do they are being very vague I think says a lot.IT IS UP TO THE PUBLISHER. How many damn times does that have to be repeated? EA says they are done with online passes. But looking at Microsoft that is not the case. And the fact Sony games use online passes is another one. So the thing Sony said needs to be asked again. And a straight answer needs to be given. Because if some how the ps4 installs games just like x1 it is he same thing meaning Sony's previous statement would be miscommunication.Ill just wait for Sonys word because they actually havent said ANYTHING about used games and such so far.

I have all the systems. Look at my sig. But I will not go into a gen that seems more screwy than this one. That is all I am saying.[QUOTE="Shirokishi_"]actually they have.... It was dead before it even started. Look at the date to the article he linked to.Wow, this thread is dying. Probably because its not ripping into MS like the cows enjoy so much...lol

if sony follows microsoft , there wont be a war next gen , nintendo will  easily out sell them both

Sony already confirmed that they will do the right thing in regards to used games and lending games to friends, etc... what the f**k does that mean? i dont know but hopefully good.
I'm gonna be honest, used game fees do not really bother me. We already have online passes and everyone seems to get along with them pretty well. If you made a game and were selling it for full price, when it becomes cheaper later on and you get less money for it, would you like that? I really doubt it. So I think the fees are not that bad, I mean game devs should get their money properly.

How many damn times does that have to be repeated? So what? Newsflash for people who use this statement in defense of Sony: publishers are the very ones pushing the hardest for the eradication of used games. So how exactly is handing the decision to get rid of used games to those who want them ridden of an assurance that they'll be allowed? EA has gotten rid of online passes. You believe they'd do that if sales of used software were allowed on PS3? The only difference between Sony and MS is that it seems MS is enforcing it and Sony isn't, but they are leaving the option open to the publishers....who want used games gone. Not too hard to put two and two together.Ill just wait for Sonys word because they actually havent said ANYTHING about used games and such so far.

[QUOTE="lilnazar"]They don't get that money though. Publishers do.If that's the case then I guess it sucks. But if Sony is going to implement Online Passes for 9$ just like usually, I don't think it would be a issue.I'm gonna be honest, used game fees do not really bother me. Not too hard to put two and two together. Well said. I can't believe people are giving Sony a pass (wait, yes I can) about this and not a few days ago were crucifying MS for something similar..
It's going to happen sooner or later. The used games market has been pretty much eradicated on the PC years ago and publishers won't stop until that happens on the consoles as well.
The rumors of blocked used games originally started with Sony. IF MICROSOFT BLOCKS USED GAMES AND SONY DOESNT THEN SONY WILL GET NO SUPPORT FROM 3RD PARTY DEVELOPERS. FACT.Miketheman83
No, that isn't fact. However, if sales went WAY up for new games sales on the X1 it could become fact. However, in retrospect, if people did not support MS's new policy and if new game sales were actually lower or remaining close to the same, devs wouldn't really care.
