Was it the original Half-Life that has achieved that?Guyper
If a grenade launcher counts, it was Quake II...
first grenade hmm fighting force I think it was really annoying I died alot cause they would throw them in the room and they were hard to dodge.
i think armys war something like that N64 it was a army game but u were a toy soldier. it was for the Nintendo 64. iam2greenArmy Men Sarges Heroes!
FPS? I don't know, but from any game:
Revenge of Shinobi (I think that's what it's called) on Sega Genesis.
I highly doubt that was first use of grenades in a game though.
It was not the first but it was defining....
I remember in Half Life - the Uplink Demo
Hiding, and deciding to wait for some soldiers.
Then I hear "FLUSH HIM OUT" And a grenade bounces around the corner at my feet.
I stare at the grenade in bewilderment.
*DEAD*
Not sure if the a.i. soldiers threw grenades in Goldeneye, but I know multiplayer was a blast.
In Super Double Dragon for the SNES some enemies had grenades and they threw them at you. I loved that game so much.
but for real I think HL was the first time I was flushed out by nades. And its a frustration in WaW where on Veteran the devs thought that every single enemy you encounter has 4 grenades and throws them all at YOU.
Utterly broken game..
COD4 on veteran. JPOBSCOD4 must have been your first ever FPS in that case, and you played it on veteran the first play through :?.
Couldnt that be the original Quake?, im sure there was a enemy who threw/shot nades out of a hand cannon at you..
my memory is dull.

Honestly, I never played the original Quake, but I'm damn sure Quake II had one of those and they were totally insane throwing like 4-5 nades in matter of seconds.

Yeah it was Quake 2..i just looked it up, and there's an enemy called "Gunner" that has a super grenade launcher and a chain gun.Syphon Filter 2. When they threw grenades it was devastating - literally a ten metre fatality range.
Then there was the enemies with fully prototype bulletproof armour, including a bulletproof helmet carrying MP5s, frags and some kind of grenade launcher (looks like a cut off shotgun and fires a single grenade, has a name like M79 or something).
That game got a low score here but I was amazed by it's realism when I first played it. It was the first game I played where people would get blood painted onto their character models after being shot. The game also had some of the most impressive death animations at the time. It was like watching a movie when you play that game.
Bit dated now though.
