Cows are hyping Sigma.
Sigma is a complete graphical remake with tons of content added on. I actually am not too excited about it, but it's much more of a remake than a rerelease that RE4 Wii is sporting. PS2 version + lame gimmick controls tacked on, no thanks.
It's still the 3rd release of the same game after 3 years.
Updated graphics, tons more content. Wow, you just don't understand what's a remake and what's a rerelease.
its not a re-release, its a Remake. Its being revamped to utilized the Wii, aka the motion controllers.
Umm I can aim just as well with the analog. You sheeps need to learn how dual analogs and the wiimote correlate in a very similar way. Right analog -> Wiimote X and Y motion. So simple as that.
Logically, it should be AAA.
Here is a breakdown of the GC review:
Gameplay: 9
Graphics: 10
Sound: 10
Value:9
Tilt:10
Here are my Wii predictions:
Gameplay: 9- The Wii should be an improvment over the original, but it's still the same core gameplay as 3 years ago
Sound: 9 or 10- It really shouldn't change from the Gamecube version, but the low quality Wiimote speaker might subtract
Graphics: 8 or 9- It's the same as the Gamecube version, only with widescreen and 480p support. Also, it looks better than anything else on the Wii so far.
Tilt: 9 or 10- The original scored a 10, and it might decrease because of age
Value: 9 or 10- It's a great game with extra content for 30 dollars. It might take a hit because the PS2 and GC versions are cheaper, but this is supposedly the superior version.
Finalscore:9.0-9.3

You said "3rd release of the same game after 3 years". Is that not what Sigma is, or do you want to argue that it's not the same game? You will lose that argument, sir, regardless of whether or not you will admit it.
Gc version played better than PS2??????? LOL
why? cause the controller has bigger buttons maybe???? lamest excuse ever, the both play EXACTLY THE SAME and the PS2 has more gameplay, and you sheep said that graphics didnt matter
The PS2 version is superior, live with it or admit your stupid double standard :P

yeah its a rerelease alright, but its actually the GCN version with the PS2's bonus content, and from what im reading, those " gimmick controls" seem to provide the best experience for RE4.

GC, PS2, PC, and now Wii
This is how it should be: Wii > GC > PC > PS2the PC version didnt have mouse support, so GC>PS2>PC
i havent played the wii version.
What dumbass decided not to support a mouse for that game?

Thats funny every review of the GC/PS2 versions said the GC one played superior. It not different then youcows and your hypocrisy. "System power doesnt matter" was your rally cry when the PS2 was the weakest console. Now all of a sudden system power is all that matters to you guys.
Fact is the Game was designed for the gamecube then a weaker port was pushed to the PS2. even with the extra content the PS2 version scored worse.

Wrong. The game plays better on a Gamecube controller because it was designed for a Gamecube controller.
hmmm...... don't cows say fighters play better on the PS2? :|Gc version played better than PS2??????? LOL

The Gamecube version's controls were much more thought out in my opinion. Probably has something to do with me spending more time on the Gamecube over the Playstation 2. The transition from the GC to PS2 version was a terrible experience for me. I often press triangle to open my inventory but instead it opens up the map. The start button brings up the inventory instead of the menu. Graphics suffered a bit. Lag was more noticeable. Sound also suffered a bit (I didn't use the same tv as the GC for the PS2 version so it could be the tv's fault for this). Aiming felt quite different from the GC version.
The PS2 version did have extra content though which makes the two almost equal in my opinion. I just like to be able to aim and not get frustrated over controls so GC version for me.
I say mid to high AA, because no matter how good the game is, Gamespot will knock it for:
-Not having updated graphics
-Having no new content over the PS2 version
-And being an old game period.
I would guess IGN gives it a AAA, because they're more forgiving about these things.
The ps2 version is superior to the GC one, all know that
it has more gameplay and gameplay is more important than graphics, hence superior
Gears360
Funny considering the scores say otherwise. The GC version got a 9.6, the PS2 version was a 9.3, PC got 7.8. Regardless of the extra content, the GC version was superior in both graphics and controls, everyone who has actually played the game would agree that inferior graphics and sloppy controls just to tack in a crappy side story that doesnt last very long isnt really worth it when there is a better version on another console.

RE4 Wii has the extra content of the PS2 version, although I have heard inearly previews that the graphics are touched up a little bit and are smoother, I noticed in a couple of parts on the GC version that there was a bit of a graphical slowdown and hopefully Capcom fixed them. Also there is supposed to be some extra unlockables unavailable in either previous versions. However yeah I doubt it will get AAA, if it does it wont be near the GC and PS2 versions, I am going to say no more then 9.1, most likely 8.8 or so.

No matter how good the controls are, GS wont give it AAA IMO.
True, it's the definitve evrsion but it cant get AAA IMHO
Does the PC version patch make the graphics look more GCN/Wii level than PS2 level in regards to lighting and such? All I know is that RE4 PC is a perfect example of how NOT to port a game to the PC.NamelessPlayerYeah, the patch improves overall graphics, lighting and effects. Only thing that bothered me was that the patch is installing like 1 hour (well, i'm exaggerating a bit here) and needs 3 GB HDD space for temporary files. Other than that, i don't see why the PC version couldn't get a 9.0 (which i gave it), since with good gamepad it's like playing the Gamecube version with better graphics.
