Tequila is a primary favourite drink in russia, germany, finland, poland, iceland and quite a few other places ^_^ Just cause tequila is S-Typed to mexicans doesn't mean its any less in other countries. The same is applied to the pinata, many cultures use it, it didn't even come from the mexicans, its just some how associated with there culture. I actually find it funny that sonic on crack brought this up when he is trying to go against racism and yet he S-Typed Mexicans and acted like a racist himself, its pitiful that people can't keep an open mind about fictional stories and more so in the video game genre, just cause I'm playing a game where I'm killing people to survive and they are black, white, yellow, purple, blue, red, watever doesn't make me a racist or evil, cause I understand its all make believe ^_^

i think a lot of gamers out there as soon as they saw those trailers had a pre-knee jerk reaction. In tons ofmessage boards "debates" took place, and "ironic racism" infected every thread. We can't defend GTA from jack thompon and say "rockstar games are making social commentaries in their games so we must consider their games like we would films, and allow the creators to artistically express themselves. But then turn around and say "oh resi is just a videogame".

In defending this series most of us have probably grown up with we might need to eventually, analysewhat we're condemning like we would a film.

its great that you had those thought processes, and i can tell a lot of gamers out there had similar reaction. The problem is the fact that quite a few gamers won't and didnt.

in the resi forums and on kotaku you would get the ugliest comments like "can't wait to shoot me som n******" or "man you know them zombies gonna be fast".

Because of the anonymity the internet provides a lot of ugly s*** crept from under the woodwork. If i wanted to look for racism i wouldnt have to look very far. On youtube there are groups of people who's mission statement is toease the level of uglyness on that site. I was really shocked to see people writing "14/88 hail hitler I suppose its a good thing being able to note the reality, instead of deluding ourselves into thinking these uglies dissapeared.
