Resident Evil 6 (Survival horror or Action adventure?)

I think the only real survival horror games this gen are amenisa: the dark descent, ikenie no yoru (night of the sacrifice), and maybe zero: tsukihami no kamen (fatal frame 4). all 3 games are incredible, but I've yet to beat fatal frame 4. The rest seem to be action/horror.

Didn't the developers say that they are trying to appeal to theCOD fanbase with RE6?

So I'm guessing dual wielding, nuke launching, sniper shotguns and TDM multiplayer with a horrible single player?

Though the bits with Leon actually look epic. I would rather the whole game be like that. The bits with Chris just look like RE5, though at least you are fighting regular guys with guns (and the occasional bio weapon) rather than just parasitic guys with guns while using the horrid controls.

I mean, maybe that doesn't qualify as dude-bro, but from its opening scene the series has always had campy B-grade action movie appeal.
So I think the new game fits right in, whatever direction it ends up taking.

the new trailer for 6 looks pretty damn good to me

Leon's part looks like action horror while Chris's looks like pure action. I'm hoping the new guy's part is closer to survival horror but I'm sure they'll mess that up by giving him superpowers or something.
