Looks like garbage, so you would like it.
princess my dear friend. that was resident evil 4. clunky mechanics, bad controls, non existance atmosphere, saving president daughter.
this game looks alot more horror, immersive, atmospheric. even remind me of System shock.
I'm not into horror genre (find it boring) and I haven't care for RE after playing g the fourth one (hated it), but that really did look cool
Champ Bait: The Topic.
Anyways, that looked like some on-rails game the way they presented it. Can't really gather too much from what I saw. I mean it looks wayyyy better than Doom 4 as a FPS, but that's about it.
The game looks great visually, but it looks too similar to the original, gameplay-wise. I really want to see another Resident Evil 4-style game since I prefer a faster pace and want some more TPS greatness.

You don't have any friends, Sniper.
I'm willing to give it a shot. Played all previous numbered RE games and wouldn't want to miss this.
Been a hardcore Resident Evil fan (faves are pt2, REmake, and 4) since the first joint in '96 and this looks fabulous! I love the fact that capcom went the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" approach with this mother. Really looking forward to getting my hands on it.
Also, **** them for bringing back those god damn Regenerators *shudder*. Those motherfuckers were by and large the creepiest thing about 4 and it looks like they haven't lost a bit of their, uh, "charm" :O
Seems like Capcom has gotten RE into shape again :D
Both of the Revelations games were good returns to form, and this? Well while I would have preferred it to be a spinoff, and not a mainline game (but after the train wreck that was RE6, perhaps the spinoffs are the good ones nowadays?)
Still looks nice, I liked the demo, and I hope this does well, I would like at least one horror series to still be around. Changing up the formula and settings might be a good way farwards, afterall the first RE games did not share all that much in setting. So this I like :D
I miss tank control fixed camera games.
They are probably my favorite games. Play as many of them as I can and they all have so much replayability.
I've spent the past year just binging on them. RE:Make, RE2, RE0, RE3, Dino Crisis, Dino Crisis 2, Parasite Eve/Parasite Eve 2, I just love em. Can't understand the hate for em. They're really not that hard to control.
This trailer is just laughable.
Ascend up the steps to find....... a spooky humming woman oooooooooooo
Look, there's a gun! And you're using it to shoot enemy biohazard like things ooooo
And look! Remember when you had to examine items to find keys hidden inside them, we wanted to remind you what game franchise you're playing.
And look again! An herb!? Once again, we were worried you forgot what franchise this was.
Enemies that get back up after you shoot them, breakable crates, interactive save spots. blah blah
I love RE but WTF was that trailer? Could it possibly be any more random? Hopefully the game will be better than whatever this was supposed to be.
@davillain-: I agree with you completely, except I can't get it on PC. I don't see how more people don't like the direction this game is going. Zombies, all the characters from Resident Evil, and all what Resident Evil has been known for is stale now. It needed a revamp. This is perfect.
Another episodic RE series? I'm not psyched about it, and I have doubts about Capcom being able to deliver, they couldn't even make a decent SFV game. Resident Evil Revelations 2 was garbage and everybody gobbled that up as a great return to form **pfft**. Far more excited for the next Outlast.
It's just a shame Capcom is a follower in the horror realm now. It just doesn't really look like Resident Evil anymore.
Not saying it won't be good. Maybe it will. But man, we already got Amnesia, Outlast, and a few other horror games using this style of gameplay. Capcom is so disconnected from their fans that they don't have any clue why their games sell or not.
It's cool that they're finally listening to fans. But without Mikami or Kamiya involved I doubt it's going to anything good, Modern Capcom just doesn't have any of the creative talent it used to have.
Gunplay doesn't look very impactful which blows but the rest looks miles better than any latest RE games. Crapcom may have a decent game for once
I love the detail and was noticing how good the sounds are. Some people can't disassociate from a brand and they could have named it anything else and the haters wouldn't be so hard on it but still I'm hyped for it. I just hope they offer Vive support eventually but If I can get the FOV to 120, it would be fine for VorpX use.
@blueinheaven: This is a bunch of teasers jumbled up together.
I know what it is but none of it says much of anything. Actually none of it says anything. Please don't be as terrible as I'm expecting you to be (the game, not you).
Looks like garbage, so you would like it.

yea it's really hard to copy a formula (PT)
@blueinheaven: Well, teasers don't generally say much. But in this case is does show alot though. I don't know why you think otherwise. It shows BOW's. It shows the weaponry. It shows the classic storage system.

They're not listening to fans, they're just interpreting what people say as whatever they want and making a game.
Fans wanted Resident Evil to return to its roots, that reality also embodies survival horror among design and mechanical aspects, not just make a completely different game that is a return to survival horror...
They completely missed the mark, again...
@dynamitecop: That's a bit misleading. "Classic" RE fans wanted it to go back to it's roots. More people enjoyed RE4 than they did the previous ones.
Looks alright to me. Probably will buy it.
I'm sure if we were to be shown footage that spans a longer amount of time in a place it will probably look better. Disjointed trailers especially for a horror game tends to not fare well for most people, or at least it doesn't do much for me. I would say the same for most genres though tbh.
Looks like they're trying to put the "Survival" back into "Survival horror".
The thing about that, Resident Evil 1/2 were terrible in that regard. You could easily run past most enemies and be a walking gun shop well before the end.
3 slightly better, due to more enemies making it much more difficult to run past, and obv Nemesis.
4 has it's issues as well, stagger/knife/knife.... kick door/stagger/stagger e.t.c....
Revelations was probably the best "survival" game on infernal mode.
