I came across an interesting dilema. RE:CV and FF8 were both considered the "lame duck" of their franchises, yet they both had the best story out of any of them. why is this? 762fullmetalRE:CV is awesome while FF8 was kinda boring. So no. Nothing alike.
Re5 = FFXIII = lame ducksArisShadowsChange that to RE4. RE5 = RE4 = Lame ducks?! RE4 is a good game unlike its sequel which was boring from start to end.
If steve died sooner rather than later. He was annoying as hell. "OMG my dads a Zombie, WAH, WAH", "I've been kidnapped for handing out secrets, WAh, WAH"Code veronica is the best.

The gameplay. CV had decent gameplay but FF 8... I tried playing it a while ago and I was massively overpowered by playing Triple Triad. Not to mention the annoying Junction system.
and PS2 games and Gamecube too.Ummm do you realise RE:CV was like one of the best Dreamcast games

Can't speak for Code Veronica but FF8 is my favourite FF title. Haven't got far into 7 or 9 though, but they seemed awesome.
it's my favorite too, but when you look in retrospect at what RE fans thought of each RE game, Code Veronica was the least played & least publisized. Back in 2000, RE2 was the King according to most fans, then RE4 in 2005. I personally think, RE:CV > RE3 > RE2 > RE1 > RE 0, why RE3 was better than 2 is a personal choice, but I felt that even though you had more ammo in RE3, Nemesis balanced that out, and the way he came out of cornors was just crazy. RE3 was more survival horror than RE2 in that respect, you had to conserve your herbs just because Nemesis might pop out of the corner. Why would i consider Code Veronica the `lame duck` of the franchise? It´s my favourite game of the series.

Yeah, im also one of the few that prefer RES3 over 2.

RE5>RE4.
maybe you shouldnt be playing co op games solo.
Code veronica is the best.
If steve died sooner rather than later. He was annoying as hell. "OMG my dads a Zombie, WAH, WAH", "I've been kidnapped for handing out secrets, WAh, WAH" Actually his death is one of the strongest points in the game imo, and he was cool, i hoped he would make an appearnce in RE5. Haha. I love CV, but Steve really did annoy the hell out of me, and I was pretty happy when I didn't have to listen to him anymore.

Finished it on release date with my friends around his house on the PS3 and rebrought it upon my 360 for £10 several months afterwardsand got to the part when you have to run on the conveyor belt with Petrol Cannisters and never bothered to play it again in single player. It wasnt that great in Multi-player nor in Solo play, Bosses where boring, enemies where boring, AI was dreadful, No puzzles, Boring characters.
Next time you shouldnt assume anything.

I didn't think FF8 was lame. I enjoyed it, though the Draw system was terrible. Also didn't like the card mini game, which was basically mandatory if you really wanted to power up your guys =_=siLVURcrossThat was the highlight for me in the whole FF8 game was the Card Mini Game lol.
Personally , I thought FF8 was the best, best story , best characters.scottiescott238
and best music.
I love RE:CV and FF8, also FF8 is my favorite of all.

The Story of FFVIII was good but it had 2 horrible plot devices and part ofone ofthoseplot devices is that all the characters come from the same place and have exactly the same backgroundwhich instantlymakes them lame. I could go into details but everything would be a megahuge spoiler.
But honestly, FFVIII had the best music, best character design, best graphics of the 3 FF games on the PS1. People that hate the junction system is simply because they don't understand it. The Junction systemand overall battle system was great too cus it made the game's pace faster cus you didn't have to fight every random battle to be prepared for the next boss battle. Another thing is that FFVIII has the deepest customization of any FF game ever... You could make any character excel at any of the abilities you wanted to.
What?! Final Fantasy VIII did not have a good story by any means. The only memorable parts of the story were the most laughable parts like:
When all of the main characters had amnesia and forgot they all lived together in the same orphanage... with the Sorceress as their guardian.

When Squall and Rinoa were floating in space and conveniently floated to a giant spaceship because there was no feasible way to get them out of that scenario.
The whole story was based around crazy ass events that amounted to nothing more than plot convenience.
Wasn't RE:CV considered one of the best RE titles next to RE2? Also FFVIII was awesome was of the best in the franchise. If anything RE5 (and or RE Zero) and FFXIII are the lame ducks of the franchises.
that is what I said, seriously I dont have any idea where does TC takes his "arguments" fromWasn't RE:CV considered one of the best RE titles next to RE2? Also FFVIII was awesome was of the best in the franchise. If anything RE5 (and or RE Zero) and FFXIII are the lame ducks of the franchises.

Code Veronica was just awesome. Especially when it came as a demo with DMC1 (back when games we're actually good). FF8 is trash compared to 7 but I used to enjoy 8 alot.
However the more I played 8 the more I disliked it because the card system, drawing, and many other crappy features.
Can't speak for RECV but i gotta agree with FF8, not going as far as to say its the worst FF (looking at you X-2) but yeah...
that is what I said, seriously I dont have any idea where does TC takes his "arguments" from I know right? lol THe only problem I had with RECV was the backtracking (which isn't a huge thing) and FFVIII the junction system it can make the game far too easy if you knew how to use it.Wasn't RE:CV considered one of the best RE titles next to RE2?
