The asset quality to RE2R is probably pretty similar. You just see more imperfections in first person.

A possiblity, but i always zoom the hell in to see the details, and i don't remember anything in RE2R to look as bad as the outside of the village demo.

Is there any reason to do RT on either, and not just to hit a solid 60fps, is there any point in what we have seen where the RT shines, or is it academic like "oh there it is" but makes no impact on experience? I mean, I tried Control out on the Series X with the performance and graphics mode and I chose performance easy, just didn't feel the RT offered anything worth the performance hit.

It was designed with PS4 in mind....its a cross gen game, surely if it was just for current gen we would expect a better looking game..................or not. I don't fancy the RE engine much.

I have my pictures ready, and i am not playing games. Demon's Souls obliterates RE8 visuals, and RT aint helping RE8 fooo shit. Bluepoint's engine destroy RE Engine. No competition at all. I look at the god damn bushes in the village demo and it reminds me of ES Oblivion days wtf

Did you click on the actual image and seen it full screen or are you looking at the heavily compressed the f up version? Its nowhere near too dark, and if you play games where a dark room look like light gray, then maybe you should callibrate your monitor to not look like poopoo.

I played the game on an IPS monitor with only 350nits hdr, and the game looks incredible. Its nobodies fault you're on a TN monitor from over a decade ago 🙃

@warmblur: Their were leaks (can't remember if confirmed) RE8 was actually Revelations 3, they just wanted a mainline entry out the door. Might have something to do with it.

These are my pictures taken on a 1440p IPS monitor that doesn't even support proper HDR. On a 4k screen with 1000nits+ hdr it would only look much better. Its a good looking game that some still have trouble believing or something.
