Resident Evil Zero: Wii Edition announced

I don't even want RE5 on Wii. It should be experienced with HD graphics. What I really want is an RE2 remake, or a completely new game using a slightly improved RE4 engine in the behind the shoulder view, like RE4. Capcom better be making something...

Both RE games on the Wii have sold well... It wouldn't suprise me if this is just to tide them over till they can get another UC or new RE game out the door.

If you think about it, we got a new game right after RE4 wii, so maybe they will go in a port - new game cycle.

as a wii owner I'm actually disgusted by this. So capcom will just sell out on the wii and make the real thing on the other consoles?

It was a fairly weak entry in the series. There was little backstory leading up to the events of the original game anyway, so as a prequel RE0 felt like Capcom just flung together some unnecessary storyline and shoe-horned it into the grand scheme of things for a bit of easy cash. I don't expect the game to be any different on the Wii. And even if it was drastically improved with RE4-style gameplay mechanics, you would miss out on the gorgeous pre-rendered backgrounds in favour of uglier 3D environments.

Well, I'm going to try and not pre-judge this game before it comes out. Capcom usually pulls through in the end, and I'm glad they are supporting the Wii.

If its a full priced title that is just lame,

If its a value title then by all means.

Resident Evil: Zero was never a remake to begin with, so get your facts straight. :?

I've always been expecting the best RE experience to come from the more powerful consoles anyway. With these last-gen ports to the Wii, I guess it's a way for Capcom to make up for the development costs of games such as DMC4 and RE5, which is good if it helps them. Last-gen ports and an on-rail shooter don't interest me, but I think Fatal Frame 4 could be really well suited for the Wii. I'm excited about that since I've never played a Fatal Frame before.

RE0 was exclusive to the Cube... so this actually opens it up to a lot of people (i mean, if you dont want to spend the $20 or $30 for it now).

Anyway, seems like milkage to me. ALL the games on the Wii from Capcom has sold far more than expected, and they continue to doubt the Wii with TRUE sequels.

Anyway, so far this is stuck in Japan, although i bet we will see it eventually across the pond.
